Mclaren MP4-30 Honda

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.

I've been 'watching' that bulge come and go and it seems very simple. It 'appears' on low speed tracks, which are more demanding on cooling. On high speed circuits it's not there.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

New front wing end plate canard. I think they also made some changes to the trailing edge of the front wing pylons.

Correct. The wing pilons are more or less back to the ones of the previous nose.

Indeed, the old Mounting Pillars were straight and shorter.

It might have been the Hungry Grand Prix, where someone had mentioned that the rear cover with the bumps was a tighter fit. You could actually tell by looking a the hole in the cover for the rear suspension, more or less of the A-Arm was exposed and the placement of the hole/slot was different.
