the race was over at that point, as far as I can see. It happened after the chequered flag, but I guess you aren't allowed to do so with the medical car etc. still out on track

Perez could have done a lot to avoid the collision. But Sainz caused the collision really here, by drifting left. Perhaps Sainz misjudged how much overlap perez hadJuzh wrote: ↑15 Sep 2024, 15:18So what? After looking at replays a few more times its clear he's even moving to the left slowly, but sainz just straight drives into him trying to get behind leclerc. Why should perez jump out of his way? You have to give a car's width and there was more than enough space for sainz on the track, that is unless he drives recklessly and crashed into a car next to him for being too greedy.
Bit of bias there imho. The tec pro comes towards the track. SAI has virtually no steering input. But it appears he’s drifting left due to that tec pro. Bit of a silly one that. I can’t really see anything obviously wrong with what either driver did.Juzh wrote: ↑15 Sep 2024, 15:18So what? ok yes, tecpro is coming up, this is only better seen from leclerc's cam looking back. so its more like 50-50 misunderstanding101FlyingDutchman wrote: ↑15 Sep 2024, 15:22Bit of bias there imho. Holes in a cheese they lined up perfectly. Low sun to drive straight into. Adrenaline up. Right front to rear right perfectly aligned and a visual change in that low sun
They will rule as racing incident most likely.organic wrote: ↑15 Sep 2024, 15:21Perez could have done a lot to avoid the collision. But Sainz caused the collision really here, by drifting left. Overall I think it's about 50/50 blame. You can't just drive into the space occupied by Perez, but Perez could've followed the line that Sainz dictated rather than just stayed where he was.
