I’m surprised the sport won’t allow Mercedes to appeal that decision on the penalty with Verstappen. I think there’s a strong case that the onboard footage would be black and white if he did something intentionally or not, but there’s no doubt that a mistake was made that impeded another driver and the FIA are a joke since a Massi took over. Bottas should have P2.

To be honest, there are 2 hugely sus things about that whole ordeal:

1 - the fact NO onboard footage was shown. It exists, they have access to everybody's onboard camera's. Extremely suspicious it wasn't shown.

2 - the fact it was 'noted' instead of 'under investigation'. Thanks to it being 'noted' they could wipe it off the table. If it was 'under investigation' it could only have had 1 result: PENALTY.

but hey, Lewis did it like a man: he still beat the $%#@ out of Max.

You indeed could taste and see Toto's emotion, he was full warmode on. I liked that a lot. Will be interesting to see what the upcoming 3 GP's will result in.

FIA has taken the sport backwards since 2019. I know we all don’t like penalties because they decide races. But I do think the solution instead of a time penalty is to offer the driver a choice: give the place to the driver you impeded, or take 5 seconds. The former allows the race to be decided by racing still, allows the race to really go on - the right way. Everyone gets their race without the FIA being so incompetent and weak. Jonathan Wheatley has literally turned out massi into some sort of pet. He literally told the FIA what the incident was instead of allowing the FIA to form their own opinion first. There’s something seriously wrong there, and in my opinion it is just as damaging to the integrity of the stewarding in F1 as it is to go personally lobbying at offices face to face.

I’m not one to sport tinfoil hats, however, it’s clear to me the FIA stewarding is skewed depending on who they are judging. And for me, they have gone from penalising max frequently (although the right decision most the time) to being too lenient where they otherwise wouldn’t be if it were someone else. It’s as if max has won the psychological game off track with them

‘Let them race’ has clearly become ‘let them foul until it becomes a crash’ for the benefit of “letting them race” but if it’s drivers further back, like Lando and Checo, they apply the rules like it’s pre 2019.
