RB are running the car a lot higher than usual. Maybe just to be tentative for FP1 but also to manage bottoming. Compared to other teams and how they ran the rb19 in other rounds, it is very high
Isn't the method to start low, and then go higher if you are unsure? I can't imagine they would be slamming it on the ground untested into qualifying... :?

That's what many teams seemed to do last time out at Qatar.. I was surprised then too. But maybe this is just where the rb19 is happiest when the track is as bumpy as we are seeing

Also, if these images are referenced correctly, RB is shockingly high off the ground:

Looking at how similarly loaded the tyres are on the RB there and the kerb providing a good visual reference I believe this is a pretty useful and stark comparison!

If only we would know the timestamp, to find out what speeds were involved.

Highest off the floor and still fastest in FP1. Eek!

There's something wrong with the tires in these photos. There is a vertical discontinuity in the thread especially on the right-hand side tires. I suspect some of the tire deformation is due to aberrations caused by not using a high-speed camera.

Still the car had pace for pole at a track where the car was compromised by bumps which should bode well for the race.

Monster truck still scraped pole by 5thousandths before a minor track limits excursion - rightfully so.

No one had clean final lap in Q3 but that track limits violation was clumsy #-o Clearly a result of frustration from T1 lockup, already down 1 and half a tenth in sector 1...

One of the most obvious errors he's made in the year. I guess we'll see if it actually matters come Sunday

The car still has loads of understeer and struggle in T1, and T13 on almost every single lap. I don't see the race nearly so straightforward. Sunday is also expected to be quite a bit cooler so will have even more understeer.
