what the hell are u talking about? mercedes was op here in the race I can’t see how you came to such conclusion about RB being fasterf1316 wrote: ↑02 May 2021, 17:37I can only imagine the fuss that would be made if Seb in the Ferrari of 2017/18 was making the same number of mistakes as Max is currently.
He’s made a mistake in every race - the overtake in Bahrain (ok, somewhat understandable), in qualifying in both of the last two races and now the all important mistake that dropped him out of DRS range on Bottas (and gave Hamilton the run under DRS). I understand why - he’s fighting a fundamentally faster car in the Mercedes (despite what they keep insisting to make themselves look good) - but so was Seb in the Ferrari, often with no support from Kimi. It’s not easy and mistakes happen but this idea that, if given a sniff, Max is infallible, is proving to be bs.
what a great drive there from bottas, from pole to third in the fastest car on the grid.matt_b wrote: ↑01 May 2021, 17:18Exactly as long as Bottas is up there with Lewis that's all that matters to Mercedes and today he got pole which is even better for Bottas keeping his seat next year![]()
yup. I think he did good on the weekend, all things considered.
And then he messes up the fastest lap... silly the way they keep talking about him being an "all time great" - I'm sure he will be a multiple champion, but he's still young and making lots of mistakes that Lewis just never makes (albeit, I do still think he has a car advantage).f1316 wrote: ↑02 May 2021, 17:37I can only imagine the fuss that would be made if Seb in the Ferrari of 2017/18 was making the same number of mistakes as Max is currently.
