Agree. Was a pleasure seeing Mercedes struggle to pass a Haas. New Mercedes upgrade is looking that no plus added to a cripple W15.LionsHeart wrote: ↑04 May 2024, 18:44I fully support it. And karma caught up with him after the sprint, Ham got a pass in the pitlane, so 8th position is for Yuki.
Stroll did nothing wrong. Lando did nothing wrong.Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑04 May 2024, 19:00Can we forget about Hamilton? The stewards have decided he did nothing wrong in that first turn. We just got victimised by Stroll and that is all at the end of the day. Let's focus now on how to get 1-2 or 1-3 in Qualifying and finally get 1 victory tomorrow.
It's not unreasonable. Lando has been on average 0.3s per lap faster than Oscar come race day. Add some more on top of that because of the upgrade, that easily puts him on Lec/Ver pace today. If not faster. They got screwed over big time by the starting position. Lando should have had pace to fight in the front today. Deg wasn't as bad as I expected.mwillems wrote: ↑04 May 2024, 18:47I think you are a glass half full today
Hopefully it's a 1-2 in Qualifying and the race tomorrow... If not we will learn some more about how the tyres work with Oscar, Lando and the conditions and how much pace on the straights the car has to get past folks.
Oscar got plenty of Data for the team today, which is good, and will help us understand how better to set the car up for Qualifying.

I don't doubt he's faster, but I also don't think it's easy to pass here still, but we've only a day to find out.Emag wrote: ↑04 May 2024, 19:09It's not unreasonable. Ok, you may now take off the #44 t-shirtDarth-Piekus wrote: ↑04 May 2024, 19:05Can we focus on Mclaren? Checking that video again. Looks like Alonso was the one turning on Stroll. Hamilton did nothing wrong there.
Hamilton had no hope of making that corner without using Alonso as a brake. That gap he so idiotically put his nose into was always going to disappear when the cars ahead of him turned into T1. He should know this, the man's been in the sport close to 2 decades and is a 7 time champion. It doesn't matter what Alonso or Stroll may have done that could or could not have made an incident, what Hamilton did guaranteed one. Every time we see a driver do what Hamilton did on lap 1 here, it ends in a collision. Amateur driving.Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑04 May 2024, 19:23It's not a matter if I support a driver or not. Would you like it if I called you Hamilton-hater? I don't like when people are unreasonable. Alonso already was on Stroll turning him around before even Hamilton touched him not to mention he was on the inside. If you want to blame someone blame Alonso.
