Did Chandhok finish or did he retire with a mechanical failure? I'd be furious if the car broke down because it ran over Barrichello's steering wheel!
edit. nevermind. Chandhok was the subject of Trulli's "mounting"...
puncture I believeecapox wrote:Did Chandhok finish or did he retire with a mechanical failure? I'd be furious if the car broke down because it ran over Barrichello's steering wheel!

Did you see the last lap??ecapox wrote:Fair enough, but it all seems somewhat contradictory because the regs say the SC will come in at the end of the last lap even if the race finishes under the SC. it doesnt say that it will lead them over the start/finish line. The FOZ wrote: They shouldn't have put the green light on if the race was meant to end under the safety car. Green light means drivers are free to race.
It's a bit stupid...if the race is meant to end under the SC, then the SC should lead the cars across the finish line!
Once again the regulation monster clouds things.
that was pretty bad stuff from RubensISLAMATRON wrote:WhiteBlue wrote:IMHO Rubens did a great foul there. Chandhok suffered a tyre blow out I believe. Wow, thats really effed up,that is a 50K piece of kit he just chucks out like that, and onto the racing line no less. I like Rubans, but he should be both penalized by the FIA and fined by both his team and the FIA. Why did he crash? Mechanical problem or driver error?
And this is the question. I think regulations don't say it clearly.toshinden wrote:if the 40.13 reg is the one which is apply, does the green light should be turn on or not?
exactly, it was funny as Stefano didnt know the rules properlymarcush. wrote:second time in two races when MS brought the car home 1 place ahead of what any other in his place would have managed. =D>
very cool move and seemingly not all involved are aware of the rules.quite interesting with 300+ headcount and all those millions of dollars/€ spent every year
it would make sense to have at least ONE sporting rule expert on the pitwall....
So Ross brawn is just the right guy to be in charge.even though they screwed up in Q3 this time..
That's what one would expect from a attention seeking journalist as an article title. [-Xsegedunum wrote:Alonso and Ferrari have been severely embarrassed there.
Well not if his pass was exactly the same as MS = pass after SC line but before 'the line'The FOZ wrote:From the F1 website:
Interesting bit from Joe Saward:
It is worth noting that according to the timing system Fernando Alonso crossed the line at the end of the first Safety Car ahead of Karun Chandhok. Race Control either missed this, or chose to ignore it.
How much does McLaren spend a year, and they can't think to figure out the radiator plugs should be a bright/distinct color so nobody forgets to remove them before the race?marcush. wrote:interesting with 300+ headcount and all those millions of dollars/€ spent every year

Says mx_tifosi. I know you're sore but that's no reason to take it out on other people. Bugger me.mx_tifosi wrote:That's what one would expect from a attention seeking journalist as an article title. [-Xsegedunum wrote:Alonso and Ferrari have been severely embarrassed there.
