As for Perez, bottom line is he just didn't have the pace to beat leclerc, as has been the case almost entire year. Along with making some mistakes that probably cost him 3-5s in race time it sealed P3 for him. I don't think Lec made a single error, and that made the difference in the end.

Yeah, A couple more laps and no traffic Checo would have had him. What pace Charles had in the car with the tyres is another thing.

Very good charge by Checo. I was strongly expecting a 2nd stop for Max and Charles but the tyres just kept their due.

Last race of the season. Its been a bit meh overall. Think the title winner was picked after a few races.

Hopefully next season will be better.

After these few races Leclerc was in the lead by 40 points. I too thought the title winner was picked but nothing was further from the truth. A great year and on the the last race.

No one really thought Ferrari would win it? Did they. And those 40 points was because of 2 DNFs for Max.

It was always going to be as it was, especially when Merc were so far off the pace.

Max is really peerless. Perez proves RBR is a good car, Max makes it dominant. I agree with you all, that Max in any of the top 3 cars this year would still win the 2022 title.

No doubt Max is very good but rest of the part is just too much.

Ferrari were good in first half lost out in second. their strategic & reliability blunders made Leclerc lose 3 wins ( Spain, Monaco, Silverstone ) and 1 or 2 more podiums. Had to take gird penalty for 3 races. Thats easily 100+ points thrown away.

Mercs were shyt in first half, only manage to get in the groove in last 5-6 races.

i don't see how or where Max would have brought out those wins & points to win title if he was driving for Ferrari or mercs .

Max also lost the Singapore Pole (two pole worthy laps abandoned) due to a team error (to little fuel) and with that the win and they missed the set-up at two races (Austria and Brazil, the 2 medium altitude races, a coincedence?).

Redbull also have their strategy/operational misses.

In the Ferrari I think Max might have done it, the Mercedes was way too far off. But all of this hypothetical stuff is just not worth much.

There is no team on the grid from RB to Hass that hadnt had their share of Sh*t. but comparatively RB are the best team strategically & for reliability... Ferrari are not even in their mirrors. cant believe ppl can compare the two.

secondly this topic is not much worth ,but still you have to be within the limits of reality.

if Max was driving that Ferrari and Leclerc was in RB i dont see any legal way he would beat Leclerc.

in a championship there are many things involved with from Car, strategy , priority to wingman and all the stuff...for start Sainz would never handover the lead to Max like perez did in spain and i can go on.

Max would have not won in any other car other than the RB both last year as well as this year.

Ferrari had a weaker title challenge this year than 2018.. alest vettle led the championship haif way thru. Leclrc has been no where since the 5th race of the season
