Thanks for the pics.
I can't tell form the pics for where the wing damage took place. Initial hit or cut across.
I'm going to have to DL the race and look.
You are completely missing my point. I'm not here to defend Rubens action. I'm just stating he didn't get out of the car and freak out in a hissy fit like Hulk did.andartop wrote:
So, had the thing ended up on someone's face, say Felipe Massa's, it wouldn't have been Rubens' fault but the manufacturer's who made it "bouncy"?
I would have thought "chucking" anything on the track, no matter how lightly, is strictly prohibited for safety reasons. I also thought there is a very specific rule about what drivers are supposed to do with their steering wheel after retiring from a race. I can't see how kicking the tires is anywhere near as bad to what Rubens did..
But why? it works great as it is))ISLAMATRON wrote:McLaren need to start leanring the rules of F1

I shouldn't have said anything about the Rubens incident, I agree it was a really really crappy thing to do, and there is no justification for his actions. Nobody can be perfect all the time, and in this sport the smallest lapse in reason and judgement can have a huge and negative effect.andartop wrote:Agreed. He did something much worse. My original comment was on your post that you haven't seen anything as childish for ages in F1. If forgetting all about rules and safety because of frustration is not as childish, especially coming from a such an experienced driver, and especially after Felipe Massa's accident, I have nothing else to comment on this.
You obviously did not watch this with replays. Vettel was pushed off track by his rear wheel bouncing off Hamilton's front wheel. He had more than half his car off the track into the following left hand corner. He needed to get back on track and on the racing line which he did. Hamilton did not leave him enough room in the entry to the following corner and got punished when Vettel reclaimed the track and his racing line. Vettel isn't supposed roll over to Hamilton when he gets squeezed by him!ISLAMATRON wrote:then SV pulled another one of his BS moves and chopped across LH's front wing coming out of the corner... it would have been fair if his rear tire would have been cut down.
Webber was in the run off area when he threw that steering wheel, not in the middle of the track with cars passing half a meter away.tomazy wrote:Well, just look what Webber did with his stearing wheel after his chrash, and he was not on the racing line and was not in a hurry to get out like Rubens was.

Conserning the incident, I just do not see how Haiki is at fault? He was defending his position correctly, but braked much erlier than webber becouse of the slower car, this cauth Mark by surprise and he crashed into Haiki, it was a racing incident.
And for Hulk, drivers are just human, he was angry becouse he was on the way to score his second point in his F1 carrer. Just do not know what is so wrong to show some emotions in F1 today
So basically it didn't happen?Intego wrote:After weighing while preparing for the presentation ceremony and putting on the most important cap in the world.komninosm wrote:Where did Hamilton apologize to Vettel? That was what I understood and also Sky commentator translated. - Well, LH didn't say "Sorry", but he also didn't offend SV.
