I wonder how Massa will spin this, he can't say it was all Hamilton's fault if he got the penalty, can he? ;p
Not after his recent rants about "he keeps getting penalties because he's doing something wrong". I can't wait to see an interview with him.
Me too, I'm going to be interested in Massa's interview. Eddie Jordan made a clear explanation that Massa was playing dirty. Mass looked over to LH so many times and still end up with accident.

I never like LH but I feel sorry for him these days. I want to see him leaping with joy and hungry for wins. Lets hope he will get back soon.

Talked about Vettel, Hamilton, Massa - hell even Rowan Atkinson.

But I wanna start by wanting to shoot Petrov between the eyes right now. In the closing stages of the race, he was less than a sec behind Pérez & couldn't over take him in a faster car. Pérez ended up in 10th & now both Toro Rosso & SauberF1 are on 41 Points (in the Constructors).

In the start it was a thrill to see both Toro Rosso tag teaming Senna & then Sutil. Sadly, Buemi losing out to an engine failure was sheer bad luck.

Sorry, the way you pull a good pass is by doing it in an unexpected way.

Right-o...enjoy your online banter gentlemen, I'll go back to lurking as usual...I come for the tech stuff not this sarcastic, "fan boy" garbage that seems to take over every thread on here...Too much bias tainting people's view

I will point out that the difference with your 2 examples and this is that there was room to make the pass cleanly, especially at the Nürburgring going around the outside and those weren't involving Massa. As I said the two of them have a history of getting into one another. Bottom line my OPINION is that it was a racing incident especially seeing how LH braked early seemingly knowing he couldn't make it and to give Massa room...I posted because it was frustrating to see the two of them going at it again unnecessarily which ruined both their races and potentially the race at the front
Yeah right
I don't see any fanboys ruining this thread so far, only a few haters. Even people who don't like Hamilton said it was Massa's fault, how do you explain that? Oh that's right your post was only trollish flame bait with no facts or logic to support it.
Hamilton didn't go for a gap that wasn't there. He didn't try to outbreak desperately like Webber is prone to. He was along side Massa and broke first. Massa simply crashed into him. Lets see how he weasels himself out of it in interviews. It should be hilarious.

Rowan Atkinson was the highlight! I think we should have him picture in picture at every race reacting to on track action!

I was very impressed with the circuit, and the racing was fairly decent. I think Pirelli were quite conservative with their tyre choice this weekend, which probably didn't help the on track action.

Lewis Vs Felipe once again. It was a shame, this time though I do feel this was more of a racing incident. Felipe has to probably accept some blame as he did seem to be checking his mirror constantly as he turned in, although he claims he saw nothing... One thing is clear for the post race interviews, Lewis doesn't hold any kind of grudge against Felipe. However, clearly Felipe does. He was dismissing Lewis's 'have a good race gesture' as pointless and hinting that he want's some kind of grand gesture. The kid needs to grow up. He's clearly forgetting he is driving for Ferrari and this kind of childish behaviour isn't acceptable.

Strange race i thought, schumacher had great pace from the middle of the race to the end, really impressive watching the live timings, he was'nt far off vettel and button's pace.

I dont know why lewis was so slow, was it a set up issue again? because even before the collison he was slower than jenson by 3-4 tenths a lap consistently, then it got worse after his coming together.
Its strange because in the past he's never lacked pace, maybe he needs to do more high fuel work in practice.

As for the incident, 80% massa's fault, the guy has NO race craft and has allways turned in on drivers, reading his post race comments are laughable to, serious grudge on his side, the sooner ferrari get rid of him the better.

Another thing iv noticed is that this year lewis has gone backwards quite often during the first lap, his actual get aways seem to be ok, but he keeps getting crowded out or choosing the wrong line.Again its the apposite to what we normally see.

No doubt he'll come back stronger for all this, i can see him going well at the next race which is a track he tends to excel on.

A part of it I guess would be because he was stuck behind Felipe in the first stint I'd guess

He was actually ahead and on the racing line.

As for how he weasels out of it during interviews, I havent seen him weasel out of anything thus far. Maybe we need to just put this down to a racing incident and forget the fanboy stuff that usually infects threads after a GP race weekend.
More could have been done.

We need to post the sporting code on f1T, people keep coming back with the silly ideas of wedges and rights. This post above is the perfect example.

The front of Massa's car was rather controversial throughout the weekend.

The front wing was constantly shaking.
Image

Yesterday his front right suspension snapped over the orange part of the kerbs in Q3 & today the identical incident happened in the race with front left suspension.

Image

Even Schumacher had been advised to avoid those orange kerbs by Ross Brawn (I think) after Massa crashed out.

"There's not really much to say," said Hamilton. "It's a disappointing day. My team worked hard all weekend as they always do. I don't really know what else to say.

"We had the one minute silence before the start of the race and me and Felipe were standing next to each other. He hasn't spoken to me in a long, long time so I put my arm around him and just said 'good luck for the race'.

"But in the race I tried to overtake and I tried to come out of it because it didn't look like he was going to give me any space, and we collided. I'm really, really sorry for my team."

Hamilton felt his car had picked up damage in the incident.

"I had some vibrations, in right handers it felt like the floor was scraping on the floor, and I just had very, very poor performance and I was pushing as hard as I could just to have the pace of anyone," he said. "The car looks fine so maybe it's just me."

massa!

Guy swings right on the straight, then he swings in way before the apex.
Ferrari has him under too much pressure and it's driving him mad.

Can we stop dwelling on the negative;and just dwell on the absolutely epic reaction that showed that Mr. Bean was still alive within Sir Atkinson?

So Mr. Bean is F1 now?

Well to go back to the race it was kinda boring.

Vettel Button looked like a midget vs a giant fight.
Vettel was holding button at arms distance, and Buttons swings couldn't touch him.

The redbull is too dominant, and Vettel knows how to use it well. He has masted race control.
He runs the race like a marathon runner. Go out hard in the begining, control the gap, control the gap, push hard 3 laps before the pitstop to make a cushion.
Control gap control gap. Push a little to the finish.

That's it, and no challengers. The FIA need to stop penalizing hamilton. we need Vettel to be running scared!
It's no coincidence the boring races have Hamilton outside the top positions.

Vettel needs to go down next race. He's making this looks to easy.
For Sure!!

Having said that the race had shades of Bahrain 2010 - very boring.
