Should xpensive be banned? Vote on it

This stopped being a technical forum in any true sense long ago.

Calling team owners for morons and just generally spouting factually incorrect statements in the sponsorship-thread does seem to make a technical forum less technical yes i agree.

Then talking about technical matters...70% of your posts is in the least technical part of the whole forum.

Sector you should try talking directly to big time sponsors instead of imagining some fantasy land.

My point at large here is half of you guys who are most vocal about xpensive being banned also have no clue as to who some of the posters are behind the screen names. Some of the guys you like to disparage here and there are the same ones who actually if you had any idea who they were would be kissing their asses like no tomorrow.

The numbers of the poll are in favor of xpensive not being banned.

Granted it's a near 50/50, but majority holds he shouldn't have been banned.

Sure it doesn't overturn the ban, so you guys shouldn't be getting so bent out of shape over it.

It's just to let turbomod know that whatever overwhelming support he might've thought to receive from the community on this, was never going to be a reality.

You seem to miss/ignore or plain not understand that this is a private forum that you use for free of charge, the owner isn't even making money off of ads. The owner, and his intermediaries set and maintain the rules, so your poll could be 100% in favor of not banning and it wouldn't matter, Their word is law here, end of story.

Hell, I missed the add at the bottom of the page. its a Google add and those are so easy to turn off / block even my grandmother can do it. This site is nothing like say Autosport that bombards you with adds.

The point still stands though, the owner and moderation staff set the rules, not the mob.

Well, since we are on the subject, I don't think Steven can even cover a tenth of the costs running the place with revenue from adds.

I personally wouldn't be even surprised of nothing of that money came along his way and just shows up as a reduction on the bill.

Provoking every single member in useless self-glorifying and provocations and belitteling others, or just generally being plain insulting with the obvious goal of provoking the mods to act. Trying to become a martyr for more glory.
I'm sure there are emails and chats being exchanged between X and current member(s) over this issue.

I say the patience of the mods regarding this towards the behavoir shown by GB now is respectable towards the mods.

what all this shows me is that on this site EVERYTHING turns into an argument.
I visit no site where there is more bickering.
This place is the home of the proverbial argument where somebody says the sky is blue, and 15 people pop up with arguments that it's not really blue at all.

Sure, and my dad is Santa Claus, sorry i can´t shed any details on my bullshit assumptions i make on F1Technical while saving my friend even though i´m a grown ass man myself.
