The 'rest of the forum' and the mods have always abided by their own rules - whatever they are. It's why you see very little 'technical' discussion on F1'Technical' these days and why the people who used to provide it have long since lost interest and fallen by the wayside. Any attempted technical discussion is, at times, utterly laughable - and that's being polite.
You get mods reacting to perceived insults, demanding apologies from people and failing to actually read and, you know, moderate the discussions they're not qualified to do so on. At times it's absolutely crystal clear when a member has lost an argument or is just technically wrong, and can't accept it out of some personal allegiance most of the time, but the mods just simply seem keen to prop the fanboys up. In the case of turbo he's got pretty frustrated on many occasions when certain members have been backed into a corner. His usual response to me on those occasions was 'Whatever'. Tells you all you need to know, as does the publication of private PMs as he gloats over power in his little fiefdom.
Using the word 'technical' implies some black and white and if you can't moderate that....then it's time to consider doing something else. Under those circumstances frustration and perceived abuse follows as the lunatics take over the asylum. The place is worse than Autosport because at least there you know what to expect.
'Unanimously agreed upon' says Steven. As if there is some kind of due process and in depth discussion that goes on over these matters.
