Hamilton was giving all he got and the difference was parked at 10s (after some bad traffic for Sebastian).

Ferrari won on merit, tire usage is part of performance and their tire usage was easily superior to Merc even if Merc had .3/.4 on ultimate pace.

Difficult to understand how a team can go from just beating Williams(now Kimi can come form last to beating them) to besting Mercedes.

I think Lewis knows you can't win them all. And as long as it's not Nico he is fine.

As for the cars, i think thing could have been worse without the decisive overtakes after the safety car. Mercedes clearly getting a little too cocky about their pace. They think they are as fast as anyone else on hard tyres, but it turned out that they were traction limited because of track temperature, and Kraken mode could not be engaged today.
Reminds me of Williams in Austria and Abu dhabi, there are going to be tracks where the closest rival will have a shot.
For Sure!!

The irony of RedBull bitching about the Renault engine is them being beaten by ToroRosso

Yeah, thinking back on all those quick Lotus cars Allison produced on a lean budget, it is clear the dude didn't simply strike lucky.
He said himself he knew he had a slight pace advantage.
This ferrari defintely seems like a 2013 and 2012 Lotus.. it has good cruising speed. lol and with Vettel a very deadly combo.
For Sure!!

Am I the only one who thinks that's a big deal that Vettel now is together with Schumi, Prost and Senna among those who won 40 or more races? And that he is only one win behind Senna?

I though Hamilton was going to get Senna before Vettel, now I dont know. This is a nice bet. Who do you guys think is gonna get there first?

And today is also the first time in the new turbo era that Mercedes has been beaten on merit, rather than incidents.

The problem with merc is they have this rule where both drivers have the same strategy (BUT IN DIFFERENT ORDER). If rosberg got his medium tyres to the end lewis would have been able to aswell. Lewis finished 8.5 seconds behind vettel surely with a tyre a second or more a lap faster he would have POSSIBLY won, lewis was around 14 seconds behind vettel after the final stop and thats not a lot to make up with a faster tyre. Having said that congrats to vettel.

Which is not a such a huge surprise having seen the Bull behaving like one since the winter tests. That car had visible Balance Problems from day 1. Last year Merc was probably already ahead Chassis wise, this year, the Bulls are just average cars, the engine clearly not being their sole Problem.
On a positive note McLaren seems to catch up pace wise, although they finally had to retire both cars -fortunately rather late at least in the case of Jenson- so they did get some precious mileage.

It is quite clear that the track temperature helped Ferrari a lot but still looking forward to a season that might have at least some very interesting races. Nico unfortunately seems to have lost the plot. For Lewis this will probably be an easier way to the next Championship with Seb being able to grab Points away from Nico probably more often than just this once.
Still, good News for F1!
