The ultimate proof of this ambitious project is the imminent hiring of Adrian Newey. There are the latest rumours coming from the United Kingdom in this regard.

The announcement and official presentation of the brilliant British designer is expected to take place next week. F1's most celebrated designer is expected to sign a multi-year contract, where the Stratford-Upon-Avon genius will receive a net salary of around 26 million euros per year. A figure for a real top driver. A lavish remuneration that is hardly surprising, as the British designer has brought many ideas, innovations, successes and glory wherever he has worked. In practice, a sort of victory policy for those who manage to secure his performance.

However, there seems to be an obstacle at the contractual level. We refer to the fact that Newey is still tied to the Milton Keynes stable until March 2025. This represents something of an uphill start for Aston Martin, as all teams will start allocating resources and time to their respective technical projects from January next year, as set by the International Federation (with the exception of power units). In any case, for Aston Martin the medium-term future represents a much more significant opportunity than a present that currently offers little satisfaction.

Wasn't it pretty much confirmed this week when Nico Rosberg threw a sly comment at Crofty and that he had seemingly told him in "private" that Newey is heading to Aston Martin?

They're spending all this money to improve the team but not replacing the most obvious deficit on the grid

I don't think it matters, assuming you are talking about Stroll Jr. First they need to make a winning car, having another top driver next to Alonso won't help that much right now in my opinion.

The main reason Lawrence is spending all this money is Lance, so just live with it, it's probably not going to change.

I still don’t get how out front wing last year got outlawed. But mercs and mclarens hadn’t. They flex and deform more than what astons did last year
The wing had mechanism in it that split the elements near the the Y250 area. It wasn't just bending "backwards", but also "drooped" sideways.

Once opened, the split area created a vortex very similar to the old Y250. The mechanism may have been spring loaded in order to close up and stay rigid enough to pass the test.

Alonso said nothing different should happen in Baku, Singapore and Austin, is that means the last upgrades maybe come just in Mexico, unfortunetly. I hope so those upgrades finally can show some real progress in the right path.
I think it's highly unusual to bring updates so late in the season unless your fighting for something. I think this might be it for development this season. Maybe allow the fresh minds to be involved before heading into a new direction.

Kind of weird this year that there is another GAP of 1 month Between Singapore to Austin, TX.

Don't forget that next year will be an unusual year, there is more manufacturing for the 2026 car than there is for a standard year and they can't get started till Jan 1 on the 2026 car.
