During an informal talk organized by Mapfre, sponsor of the team, AS talks with Rémi Taffin, head of engines, who explains the progress: "This will be the last year of this family of engines that we started two years ago. It is therefore an evolution with all the work we did during 2019. There will not be many evolutions during the year, because we want to focus soon on the 2021 power unit. "Soon they will go to a new propeller, which they will release next season, but obviously that limits the evolution of the current one. "Most of the evolutions of 2019 will be the first specification of 2020," says Taffin, implying that there will be "a number two engine" during the season. They will seek more benefits without compromising reliability, which improved in the last third of last year.
