Ferrari F60

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

upto the latest news F60 is now 15 kg lighter which seems a heavy modification.

can someone just point out that what would be key areas they have changed to gain 15 kg because i think 15 Kg is huge amount of weight which they have reduced and this surely gain them some tenth every lap.......

From the link posted by xpensive:
The saved weight, in all areas including the material used for the seat belts
WOW! I'm sure they've incorporated large amounts of unobtainium in several key components

Seriously, I wonder how much it cost to cut those 15 kg/33 pounds. $1,000 per KG? $10,000?

You mean my guess is low? Unless the car was "fat" to begin with (I doubt that), I'll guess that they had to both use more expensive materials AND do some redesign work.

So, that would be Kimi's car, but how about Massa's???

Seriously now, how much weight could they have saved from the seat belts?!!!
How much do they weight in the first place?

Nothing different can be seen from that vid - even the rear-wing endplates are the same.
