Updated configuration for the F60 in following tests - Costa
Ferrari's Aldo Costa is very pleased with how the F60 has performed during the pre-season tests, including the still in progress KERS unit. But despite some technical glitches that have hampered the teams running, the F60 has proven to be fast as it has topped the time charts on almost every day of testing at Sakhir. And neither driver has complained so far, as both are feeling comfortable with the 2009 contender.
Costa said on Ferrari's official site: "There might be some problems ahead, like the ones we've had over the past two days with the completely new components of the KERS, or with experiments, like the ones we had on the gearbox."
"(But) as far as the KERS is concerned I have to say that we're quite satisfied with what we've seen so far, although there's still lots of work to do."
"We used a standard configuration for the aerodynamics here in Bahrain, with just some minor updates," added the Scuderia's technical director, "The complete one we'll see at the next tests in Jerez and Barcelona, where we will conclude our preparation for the Australian Grand Prix."
Since leaving Bahrain, Ferrari have been very busy carrying out simulation work at the FIAT Research Center, as well as the usual anaysis in Maranello. The Scuderia will join the rest of the teams in Jerez at the start of next week, for five intense days of testing.
