Raikkonen focusing on winning the championship
No more thoughts about the past, says Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen, since he has left behind the dissapointing 2008 season and is now focused on winning the 2009 Drivers Championship. Raikkonen is feeling a lot more comfortable with the F60 than he did with the F2008, which didn't suit him all that well.
"I only try to give my best. Everyone knows what we can do and our objective is to win the championship," Raikkonen shared with 'Corriere della Sera'.
"There are many things that need to go well to achieve that, and I'm not necessarily talking about luck," he added, "But I'm not thinking of that now: I think about doing some good tests and having a strong start to the season in the early races."
The Finn also hinted at his future in the sport, "We'll see whether in two years' time I'm still enjoying myself or whether I want to do other things. But what's certain is that Ferrari will be my last team. Which doesn't meant that I will definitely quit in 2010..."
Raikkonens contract with Ferrari is set to expire in 2010.
