Yep, Ferrari doing their best to mess it up - that said, I do kinda get that they went all out to take a step in pace this year and took a chance that reliability would be a risk. They preferred a delicate fast car than a robust one that couldn’t challenge for wins, which I do get given where they were.

They do need to understand it and ensure they’re winning the races they should but that’s racing and hopefully they’ll get there and chip away in the second half of the year.

Gotta protest the Ferrari. The throttle matching linear driver demand was obviously violated.
They will just show that is had some damage or some debris had got in it. Cars with damage often don't meet the regs and are still allowed to keep their positions.
What if it's software? 🤔 Could be construed as lots of things then.
The rule is around throttle maps being 1:1 with input not throttle position relative to sensor. Even if a sensor gets stuck at 30% the position it reads is still linear.

In gt3 cars you can set the throttle as a curve, helps a lot in the wet. This isn't allowed in f1

Sainz engine kaput
At least it was on their second driver's car. It could have been worse for the driver championship had it been Leclerc's car.

.
The FIA has indeed issued a statement in response to this Tweet and the comments below.
They invited her and talked to her.
.
You actually think it’s coming from just one persons tweet
.
She was the first to report it. Subsequently, the FIA took action and perhaps spoke to many more people.
There were many reactions to her post.
There are stories coming from everywhere, to pretend it’s 1 person or nothing is shameful

UFF!!! Ferrari almost managing to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
Pace was incredible, reliability troubling, this was a 1-2.
Mercedes very far behind.
Mick seems to be learning.
Merc not necessarily showing their actual pace here.

Lewis is P3, but he started P8 and had to wait for about 15 laps behind much much slower cars before he was totally up to speed.

George is P4 but was sent very far back down the grid after his penalty and had to sit in traffic for a while till his car woke up like Lewis had to.

If both Mercs started in their proper position shaving not crashed out during quali and George didn't get that dumb penalty (imo) for the most racing incident type of racing incident, it all could have looked very different.

Charles was having to pull the throttle pedal back up, so probably a broken spring

George penalty was very strange. A car turned into him, so what could he do, drive off track, so people can now expect people to disappear

Lec just said the pedal was stuck.
It's drive by wire. Stuck can mean lots of things.
It simply means the reaction wasn't what he wanted the throttle to do. Apparently it didn't came back to 0. Could easely be a sensor issue.

No, he said that he physically had trouble with the pedal as it first was harder to push down and then it would get stuck at the bottom.

Being drive by wire doesn't change that pushing that pedal down uses a lot of leg power

Do you mean that simply he couldn't overtake them? Noone commanded him to sit behind them

Makes no sense... they had better tire deg, they weren't faster on straights.

Sure thing...
Russell was 4th getting gaped at a huge rate (lost endplate much like Leclerc at Silverstone) early.
Hamilton with free air kept dropping like a rock.
Mercedes fans are the most hopeless optimistic people in the world, can't wait to keep hearing about the car's "potential".

About the penalties, bump another guy off the track, ruin his race= 5s
Go wide a couple of times=5s

That's just not right.
