Good.

Also, complaining about Hamilton.

autosport reports it, so it is official!
Kimi moves up to3rd. That should keep him in the game. It is only halftime, brothers and sisters.

Maybe a new rule, regarding the Hammy issue, could be that lapped cars aren't allowed to use DRS to unlap themselves.

@GrizzleBoy - This is definitely one that McLaren have thrown away. They started with the strongest car and utterly failed to capitalise on that, instead hindering their driver's chances at every turn through pit side incompetence and failure. We'll never know if Hamilton or Button could have fought off a challenge from Alonso and the others, but McLaren are the ones that deprived their drivers from even entering the fight.

If they're clever they'll see the writing is on the wall for this years championship so they'll throw all their resources into developing next years car. Correct the foibles they have with the current car, go for the huge step change, and turn this year into an extended test. You never know, by throwing ideas at the car and focussing on large changes rather than the fine detail that they can refine in the off season they may even bring enough pace to the car to let them fight for a few more victories.

The other thing that is clear to me is that, although it pains me to say it, they need to get an engineer and lawyer to dedicate their lives to finding and exploiting every hole in the rules that they can find. They also need to stop being so up front with the FIA and operate in a much more ruthless manner like Red Bull, as it's the only way they'll stand a chance against them. Red Bull are willing to throw illegal parts at the car and then wait for the FIA to find and remove them, seemingly without penalty, and if McLaren want to win they'll have to do the same.

I think that any driver should be permitted to unlap himself, with the situation as it stands. If he can close to the DRS zone, surely he is quicker? Think of a potential situation where a driver might be behind a leader who is on dry tyres on a wet circuit, and the following driver is on inters. Shouldn't he have every opportunity to chase down and pass whichever cars he can?

Depends what problem you're looking to solve. Let's say a lapped car is looking after its tyres much better than the leader and in the last few laps the leader is dropping off the pace. If that lapped car cannot unlap themselves cleanly and efficiently then you could end up with a queue of them behind the leader, all trying to fight for position amongst themselves, all struggling to get past the leader, and all getting in the way of any other front running car that should be attacking the leader.

There isn't an easy answer to the problem, but fortunately it's rare for it to come up. If I'm not mistaken Vettel has unlapped himself in the past when he's been running out of position and the leader was cruising so slowed his pace, and Hamilton has had problems in the past when Kubica unlapped himself in Brazil 2008 which pushed Hamilton off line and lost him a place to Vettel, almost causing him to lose the championship that year. Vettel needs to grow up and stop his whining and lose the sense of entitlement.

Definitely agree with you mate, but in some cases a leaders tyres are worn out to some extent that they can be passed without DRS. An example was in Canada I think.
But the maybe factor is that not all tracks have that long a straight.

In my opinion, many of the steward decisions are totally stupid. First of all don´t penalizing Hamilton for ignoring blue flags and then this unnecessary penalty for Vettel...

Why would you want that? If a lapped car is faster than the person who lapped them, let them pass if they want, blue flags aren't there because you're lapped, they're there because you're so slow you're in the way.

Alonso is a great driver and Vettel was not able at all to get him this time. But the stewards didn´t do a pretty good job.
