Will they be able to fight at least for one podium in remaining races?
I don't see it happening unfortunately. Las Vegas may be the best chance because of colder conditions as Luscion mentioned but the sequence of corners on this track are not good for the mercs characteristics. I can't lean on previous years results because this year car's philosophy is different aswell. The race pace of this car is bang average but i think redbull will be our nearest challengers that weekend.

Brazil, well if its low temps with some rain anything is possible and the car seems to work well in those conditions but that was all before these upgrades/updates failed after Silverstone. God knows how competitive it will be with the new spec in wet conditions. We do have some good wet weather drivers so Russell and Hamilton will show some brilliance if the car is there.
“And that’s part of the game, is being able to be adaptive, and we’ve got this new car – I don’t know how it’s going to handle, hopefully she’s great.”

The car seemed to be very strong in the wet and cold. Hope it rains in Brazil.

1st post in these forums here!

Shame to see Mercedes struggling these days, they were doing very well back in the day and I hope they find their way back to the top.

Hopefully they get their team sorted as I definitely want to see them in contention for the title again one day soon. Hopefully the rumours about Valterri Bottas going back to the team in a support role is true as this could be exactly what they need, a set of eyes from someone that has been there during the highs who can suss out what is going wrong and help fix it.

Wishing the team the best of luck and I hope to see them rise up in the near future.

Mahalo everybody!

New floors for Brazil and then the remaining update program has been cancelled due to the recent crashes.

So, both Russell and Hamilton will drive complete Austin package for Brazil race?

Mercedes failed giving George and Lewis a top 2 car.. if they did they'd be winning both titles with ease 🤨

Estimates indicate RUS jumped past SAR into 3rd. ANT crash in Monza for whatever reason also hasn’t been included; it’s been an expensive few months.

AMUS
"Mercedes can no longer produce new parts due to the Russell crash in the Mexico practice session, in order not to exceed the budget cap. The Silver Arrows want to use the bumpy São Paulo track for setup experiments "

Why do i have a feeling this will be COTA part 2. " Setup Experiments " being mentioned just made me roll my eyes.

Not sure where to put this but here goes. Might be an issue for Mercedes and its customer teams on the Power Unit front -
The collapse of a company which makes advanced cooling technology for engines also threatens to create a headache for a quartet of Formula One racing teams which use engines supplied by Mercedes-Benz.

Sky News don't go into much more detail than that. Reaction Engines supplied Mercedes with advanced cooling technology.

Something is wrong here. Colapinto has crash damage listed for Bahrain, Monaco, and the Netherlands.

Russell saying the W15 is the most inconsistent car they've had in a long time, also apparently the floors their bringing to Brazil are a slightly modified version of the one Lewis used in COTA/Mexico

That’s consistent with what I posted from Toto above regarding new specs for both cars this weekend.
