Yes in Polish the C's are usually soft, but if you are not Polish you say them hard.

The problem comes from people thinking they have to pronounce a name like it is Polish, and that is why it is awkward for English Speakers to get it right.

If you name is Michael, said Mike-al, when you go to France your name is said Michelle. Mike Alboretto never sounded right.

Is it possible this is the reason Rubens is crying foul within the team? Does Jenson have an updated chassis? Neither car has been seriously damaged this season.

Both Jenson and Rubens are still having their launch chassis at the British GP

are turns 14 and 15 as drawn in the first page of this thread, or does F1 use the sharper chicane that appears on grey on that map?

(I've been preparing for this GP on rFactor for a few days, and I think it uses the sharper chicane)

The Veedol S as they call it was originally used with the sharp chicane in 1995. I just checked it in the famous Schumacher/Alesi battle. I also checked a qualifying lap of 2006 and they are taking the softer kink now. So that is the current lay out as indicated by the map on page 1 of the thread.

Yeah i am pretty sure that R-Factor is using the old one. Dont know why. I always end up out braking myself and taking the new bit of track anyway.

That reminds me i really should install that again!

Anybody got a weather report yet?

Max temp 15-18 °c, mostly rainy. Thunderstorms almost daily. Good for Red Bull I guess.

Try the 2009 German GP preview

I rather like this bit:
With temperatures for this weekend’s race at the Nurburgring set to hover around similar levels to that experienced at Silverstone, Red Bull should in theory be able to extract the most out of the tyres once again. The major development programme, which shifted weight distribution frontwards, has helped improve their rear tyre graining woes and gives them the edge over one lap in qualifying and also over a long race stint, where pre-Silvertone, performance would disappear.

Not that either chassis has been dameaged. Its just that with all the modifications so far the chassis may have lost something, afterall Rubens is still using the Chassis used in pre season testing at Barcelona and Jerez, and Jensons chassis dosnt have that milage on it and is slightly lighter as it has had some of the first refinements from after the first chassis was made. The 01 chassis of Rubens was the one that had the Mercedes FO108W shoehorned into and the the 02 chassis of Jenson was designed to take the Mercedes FO108W from the off.

And a Chassis update would be advantagous now as it means that they can have fresh cars for the rest pf the season, just look at Vettel he was racing the launch chassis (01) since he, with the helping hand of Kubica, smashed it up the 03 chassis at Oz. At Silverstone he got a new chassis, ditching Kates Dirty Sister, and getting a new 04 chassis. Ferrari have dont the same with their drivers, as well as Renault with Alonso. Toyota have already updated Glock twice.

Mclaren have actually gone back in Chassis number, just so they can run a their cars without KERS and posibly get their 05 and 06 chassis ready for this massive update thats going ahead this weekend.

I think that Rubens will get a new Chassis this weekend, Jenson i feel will not get one at all, i think he is going to do what Alonso did in 2006 with his R26-03 or 04 and race the entire season with a single chassis, i think that Jenson is very supersticious this year, he left his yellow/black/white helmet for one race and finished 6th, i can see him racing this single chassis all year.

Read this and youll see what i mean, i will be updating it thru the season as well: http://www.f1technical.net/articles/12613
