German Gp 2009 - Nürburgring

Post

Hah I'm doing it again. Why? I don't know. Maybe I just want to be thread starter guy.

Vettel seemed untouchable today in Britain, and I think the German GP will be where he takes another win for his home crowd.

Also, the Red Bull is proven reliable, unlike many predictions. Newey, being great designer, learns from his mistakes.

Circuit Length: 5.148 Kilometers
Race Distance: 308.863 Kilometers
Race Distance: 60 Laps
Tyres Compounds: Super Soft/Medium (I think)

Also, it is gonna be the first race that Force India run the Mercedes KERS System, so id expect a whole added bit of performance from them, so KERS from Mclaren, Ferrari and Force India.

Odds are that it will be wet there, as its even more posible its gonna be wet here than any other race this season, just look at the ammount of races that it has been wet in the past here.

Last race here was awsome, the Europen GP of 2007. Markus Winkelhock in a Spyker-Ferrari actually led here before and after the red flag, It was Alonso from Massa from Webber then DC and Hekki.

I think this one is for button, the brawn is fast on low/medium speed corners where alot of direction changes happen, he proved it in turkey, monaco and bahrain, here brawn can kick ass.

I believe Brawn got kers too so they might use it, if they can build it in efficiently.

I see huge changes to cars coming, also to brawns, they are gonna kick ass here, even when it rains, but then it might be one for barrichello.

Thankfully for us RedBull fans the RB5 is now fast on slow and medium speed corners so Im looking for an RBR 1-2 for qually and the race. *prays for Webbo to get his 1st win*

Doubtful. Ross said that the car wasn't desigend for KERS after they changed the engine for Merc. He said they could go and adopt the system later, but now that KERS will be abandoned from 2010, there's little point wasting any resources on that.

True, and i dont think it is even worth it, i mean, where do they want to place it? The sidepods are too small for it, in the headrest is no place for coolingand is inefficient.

McLaren might do something unexpected, it is Mercedes homerace, so they mgith put alot of work in it.

This will be a real battleground if the weather is good, Red bull and Brawn will really fight it out here.

I'll be crossing my fingers for his young team mate to prevent that. May the better man win in fair contest. Much will depend of the weather. It can be very cold at the Ring if the weather stays as it is. But we could be looking at a sunny race as well. So other teams like Brawn would probably do much better.

Sector 1 needs a ballanced car with good traction, Advantage Red Bull
Sector 2 needs a good overall aero package as it is generally quite a fast, but long sector, Advantage Brawn
Sector 3 needs good aero balance, but good traction from the chicane and the final hairpin, its a toss between Brawn and Red Bull here.

But, ill say watch out for Williams and Toyota here, they are the danger guys, and Ferrari as well. Force India will use KERS for the first time, thats a certanty. Id expect Renault to throw it back on, same with the McLarens as well.

The results from the last time we were here, whitch wasnt the German GP, it was the European GP, whitch the rights to that name are now owned by the Valencia street circuit.

If there was ever a first corner that will reek-havoc with front wings, its gonna be T1 here, Saftey cars also are quite common at this track as well, for bumps and also wether related problems too.

I think we'll see a comeback from Brawn here, unless it rains.

What would be brilliant is if -- for the first time this season -- the Brawns and Red Bulls are equal in pace and it comes down to driving and strategy.

New Engines will be as following:

Stratght off; Both STR cars
Before FP3 on Saturday; Massa, posibly both Brawns and Toyotas.

The rest, im shure are gonna use this race as a race for using what they have engine-wise.
