McLaren 2015 livery

The one I posted is merely a reflection of what Mclaren should of initially released, if memory serves me right Ron Dennis is the epitome of conservative branding.

That is quite good but based on the pics from the latest round of testing imo red and white are about to make a come back.

Except they've had the red and white colouring in the garages for years now....unless we're talking reeeeeaaallly long term planning on their part...

I think that they added the green to be somewhat different from McLaren... If McLaren doesn't change livery i can see a lot Of tv commentators confusing them

i know it's been done by many before but i'd like to share with you my concept of a mclaren honda livery that i think looks nice

inspired by google shetchup 3d warehouse f1 car model

(the purposes of the renders is just to show the livery, the f1 car is NOT made by me, although i did have to modify it to suit the 2015 regs, mostly)

so here goes



























thought i'd invert the colours and see which one's better





and this last one is 4k, i thought i'd test my pc to see how long it takes



i couldn't think of what to put on the front wing

so if there are any suggestions, feel free to comment

Did my own version yesterday but it didn't get much recognition in engineering projects. So ill post it here

The car is not made by me, and is only for purposes of showing the livery. (although I did adapt it to meet most 2015 regs)

All credit for the car goes to the original author of the car

doesnt qualify much as an engineering project now does it? as a livery excersize, great work though.

i'm missing a certian 'vibe' in the livery but overall very well done and i like the varying approaches.
perhaps would do better if you'd take the livery into a race department or F1 2014 car.
my tips: make the front wing and brake dutch black, keep the front wing cascades white,
rear wing endplates red and rear wing itself black and the wheels silver.

Agreed. I assumed engineering projects to mean ' anything you've done related to f1 '
Clearly not the case

Το be honest I don't really like the livery.

It would be better if it was even more simple, for example without the lines on the engine cover. Still better than the "West McLaren Mercedes" reloaded livery they have now.

I just watched #askcrofty and i saw the motorhome from Mclaren al tape up with black plastic.. Why was that?? Is it because it has the new colors already?
