No, nothing is ever crystal clear because car behaviour is not a one dimensional thing. 50% of the problem is finding out if the strange things you see are the CAUSE or EFFECT of the accident.Andres125sx wrote:
Nothing is crystal clear in the telemetry...... if you don´t see driver suddenly turned the wheel with no reason, or if you don´t see a drop in downforce, or if you don´t see battery voltage suddenly dropped, or if you don´t see driver suddenly stopped making any input.... There can be tons of facts wich would be crystal clear just watching the correct data in the telemetry
That's what the FIA are doing.mertol wrote:It's not important what anyone in the forum could read from the telemetry. For me it would be enough if McLaren came out and said - "these and these features of the graphs show to us that wind is the cause".

I agree 100%, and as much as I love to read different opinions and theories about what did and what did not happened that day we all must face one simple truth that we almost always overlook .... sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.Thunders wrote:@R_Redding: Sad but True yes. As long as an official statement will not include at least one Point of the various Theories out there it will just get ripped apart.

Data has been published and we've had suggestions of oversteer and understeer on corner exit, spotting that the speed trace is GPS speed (and inaccurate) and spotting that the driver had a lack of talent. What this shows is that if the data is published, it'll clear up nothing.
For those that are interested, I locked the front under braking and the dancing purple line shows cadence braking as I continually lock up and release the brakes. The blue line plummeting to the bottom is the lateral G as I try to turn the car into the corner. The impact with the barriers is where the purple line falls off the bottom of the screen at ~587 seconds.

This pretty much sums it up. Did they have an onboard camera at the time of the crash ?R_Redding wrote:McLaren have already stated what happened.
Nobody believes them.
The GPDA issue a statement.

The FIA will investigate and release their findings.

If McLaren release data and traces.

I'm glad my angst at the impending large repair bill made you chuckle.George-Jung wrote:Hahaha.. sorry but I repeated the moment of impact and your reaction a couple of times.. but I keep smiling at how you start hitting your helmet..
