I think Mercedes had titanium lower wishbones last year when they realised their fancy exhaust was cooking everything in between the rear wheels..

Wouldn´t a TI investment casting be the right thing for a wishbone? I try to imagine the huge lump of ti needed for producing a small a arm...of course you need more than one so you can make a jigsaw puzzle..ok

Invetment castins is probably the most xciting way of producing anything mechanical, just look at turbine blades, while it has it drawbacks in terms of lead times and production cost of a small series.

Do we expect Hispania to change engine manufacturers? WIth Williams expecting to use Renault next year, can we expect Hispania too?

I also expect the F112 to be a lot better of car, its a car that will be fully designed with in normal frame times and with Ex Red Bull Aero guys with the team, things can only get better for next years car.

Any more news on Jamie Alguersuari joining Hispania with his Spanish sponsorship?
Seeing what they managed to do in such a short time with this car bodes very well for them.
And I think that Alguersuari will be the first of the Torro Rosso guys to leave, but I think that he at least has one team which would embrace him with open arms.

I fear that HRT will become a modern-day Minardi, but let's hope for something more along the lines of Williams (though perhaps a change of names would be in order- my mum was shocked when I once mentioned HRT to her! )
Hispania to go to Renault next year, id say no. Id recon they will take the current Williams transmission and pair it to the Cosworth CA2012 and the F112 chassis with Williams, KERS or go to Magnetti Maranelli and see if they can supply the KERS that the Renault team has this year for a couple million. Id recon that the KERS batteries and Magnetti KERS system wouldnt be too hard to integrate with the MES ECU and the Cosworth Ignition pack that hispania have at present. May need some really specialist wiring looms, but theese can be manufactured pretty quick and generally last a decent ammount of time.

As for drivers, id expect to see Alguersauri there if he dosnt pick his game up at Toro Rosso, at the moment Buemi is the one pushing that team, and taking the canadian GP result away, Alguersauri has been beaten in all but every way by Buemi this year. Id recon that if what is being talked about, Telefonica and Repsol each put in a €8m investment into Hispania for next year, they would want a Spanis driver in the car, so Alguersauri would get the call. As for the current 2, what one would i take, the €21m from TATA for Karthekeyn would be nice, but can he push the car the same way Liuzzi could?? Doubt it. However, if Liuzzi could find €8m from Itialian sponsors, id recon that he would get the call as well.

Hispania could be the modren day Minardi, but i think we all need a common team to support and Minardi was one everyone supported.

So we expect the F112 to have this years Williams' gearbox and backend, Cosworth powered with KERS?

Wasn't Base Batteries (New Sponsor) supposed to be developing KERS for 2012 in return for not paying any sponsorship money for 2012?

Its a hard choice for me for the drivers, Liuzzi has settled in so much, pushing the F111 so well, if he had TATA backing he would be the perfect driver for Hispania.

Wouldnt expect, more presume that the Williams gearbox this year with the Cosworth CA2012 and KERS. BASE have got that aggreement, but id recon that that program would be sought with problems like the Williams one this year. It would be more adviseable to have Magnetti KERS rebranded.

As for drivers, Liuzzi and Alguersauri would be what id go for. But the €21m from Karthekeyn may be too hard to turn down, but they only pay €500,000 per race if he qualifies for a race and a futher €500,000 if he finishes higher than P14 id recon, they only get €1m up front. So this season TATA have had much more exposure for arround €4m so far, as the TATA/Karthekeyn deal is all performance related. TATA dont pay for anything that Liuzzi does, so if Liuzzi gets coverage, its free coverage for TATA in effect.

Thats why id rather take on Alguersauri to try and get €8m from both Telefonica and Repsol for a than the €11.5m minimum earnings from TATA.

Panda Security pay Hispania €3m a year for a space on their engine cover, so on that basis, id recon that Hispania could earn up to a maximum of €60m sponsor money each year on their cars for a full season. Whitch for a team of their size would be pretty decent. Minardi ran on €21.8m one season, and that was 2002. And that season they wenrt that far off the pace. With inflation, that relates to arround €45m, whitch on €60m Hispania could be alot closer, i think anyways.

Well this years Williams gearbox would be a huge step up for Hispania next year, if they have KERS as well, it would be such positive news.Plus using the Mercedes wind tunnel for the F112 and full pre season testing should put them "closer' to Team Lotus and further away from Virgin Racing.

If they could get Repsol and Telefonica branding, it would be such a boost and keep tapping into the Indian market, don't forget they have Speed,Vitadyn, Pitwalk and IMAR sponsorship this year, Hispania need to keep them and add more!

You know that TATA is HUUUUUUUUGE right? That is what you want.
Luizzi has nothing to offer to HRT because performance is all in vain anyway.. he's still gonna come 20th at best in a normal race no matter how hard he pushes. It's all about garnering as much money as possible so the car can get faster. When the car is good then you lure the drivers. 8)

On the BBC FP3 feed, they suggested that Geoff Willis is in line for Promotion to Team Principal, what would happen to Colin Kolles?

I believe Hispania have an ex Red Bull Aero guy with them now, could he become Technical Director in place of Geoff Willis, if he did get promoted?

I think they are coming to the end of their life with Kolles now, and are looking for more overall.

The fact that there has been more than a few Toyota guys in the paddock suggests to me that Hispania are looking at a new power plant and could be looking at the Toyota RVX-09 power plant with the Williams GPE LG14 transmission. Even though that Toyota said they wouldnt deal with Hispania since the debacle last year, i think that Toyota are now looking at partnering Hispania for engines in 2012 now.

Rumors from Japan have persisted they are looking at a return as engine supplyer only.

Also, there has been rumors that Hispania have been looking at facilities in and arround Brackley so they can get their R&D department within a 10 min drive from Mercedes #2 tunnel. Id think they would be stupid to have the race team based in Germany and the R&D in Brackley, id like to think they could find a pretty decent sized facility in Brackley for less than the cost of running effective 3 sites.

Hispania working with Toyota next year, I think would be great news for the team, although would that mean Nakajima working with them

Out of intrest ESP, how do you think the team would work, If Kolles did leave?

Geoff Willis as TP, who would cover his TD post? I believe a ex Red Bull Aerodynamist has moved to Hispania?

Do Toyota have KERS that Hispania could use next year and have ex Toyota guys joined Hispania or are meeting them?

I think Nakajima was decent when you look at how good Rosberg turned out to be.
