Had they pitted him a lap earlier he may have been able to challenge.
Indeed, he had nobody behind him. Pitting would only drop him behind Grosjean, who had to stop again anyway. Bad call.

But then if he did, we wouldn't be enjoying the Maldonado vs Alonso battle.

Yeah they're tied which means Vettel isn't leading and Alonso isn't 2nd. They're tied.

The best: Alonso
The dissapointment: Button

Jenson Button the new Massa?

Otherwise a very reasonable Ferrari with a sensational driver.
Rich teams should only be allowed to win

Forgive me for stating that Alonso is 2nd.
Kimi has improved pretty well too.

And yet everyone will always show the table in a particular order. Why is that do you think?

BTW, did you guys notice that for sometime when the gap between the cars was shown Vettel had "Leader" instead of the time gap?

Alonso finished 1st, 2nd, 5th, 7th and 9th.
Vettel finished 1st, 2nd, 5th and 6th.

Vettel's 6th here over Alonso's 7th breaks the tie.

Vettel would be Champion if it ended now due to more 6th places. They are equal on points, victories, 2nd places etc.

Brilliant job, McDonaldo! =D> But what a crazy & unreal season this is really turning out to be. And I don't necessarily mean to make that sound like it's been a 100% positive thing.

Many of us have our issues over Pirelli, and I'm pretty sure this race didn't do anything change our minds about it. But what really sealed this victory for Pastor in the last couple of laps was the fact that... Williams don't use Ferrari engines! Eat McDonaldo's shorts, Checo!

Sorry. Just had to put that one out there.

Well done to Pastor. Knew he could do it! :D
I feel like bringing up his pay driver thread.
Williams seeem to have better luck with South American drivers.

Amazing race, tougher race to win than Rosberg's.

Overtake of the race goes to Hamilton on the Torro Rossos.

Very good race, almost reminiscent of the some of the best races in the early 2000's.
Alonso, Pastor, Hamilton, Kamui, drivers of the day. Vettel did ok as well.
The redbull still has the braking and cornering down.
For Sure!!

Nor did Maldonado approach Alonso from 2nd position like Perez did. And the time when Maldonado actually did approach him from behind in Australia, look what happened, he crashed. I rest my case..
