Covering the undercut. Just like Lewis it was a c.2 sec gain so the risk was Max pitting and doing the same. We will find out in 20 laps if Merc are poor on tyre life!

The rules are grey. That’s on the FIA.

The more rules they create the more they open up themselves to being taken advantage of.
