Except if you do a 1,20.1 (Bottas just now), which is 0.2 of the lap record ? (well absolute fastest lap on the layout)
These cars are brutally fast
ohh wait.
Aparently Massa did a 1:18.339 in 2008 Testing.
So 1.7 seconds away from that...
Agree completely.Giblet wrote:So the Sauber is in 3rd with with the 2016 PU.
This shows how much more pace the top teams must have in hand and how pointless keeping score really is at this point.
Paul Hembrey predicts 1’17 for pole at Barcelona this year.Gerhardsa wrote:Except if you do a 1,20.1 (Bottas just now), which is 0.2 of the lap record ? (well absolute fastest lap on the layout)

I'm not so sure there would be much mileage in doing it on purpose.Sevach wrote:
Given what the Red Bull car was doing down the straight i'm pretty sure they'll be nailed too, the inspection just hasn't reached them yet.
They might even have done it on purpose, put a system that is sure to be caught, try to sneak a less agressive one through.
Don't forget with the tea tray being so much shorter this year the teams are not as limited by the forward plank wear as they were last year.Quantum wrote:I'm not so sure there would be much mileage in doing it on purpose.Sevach wrote:

I think Red Bull pushed the limits last year with the rake they ran, and this is how Ferrari picked up on it over the winter.
The tell tale sign is the SF70 Ferrari is running more rake than any previous Ferrari I have seen before.
They must have tried hundreds of different suspension set ups to get replicate the effect....but couldn't.

Everyone has the ability to run more rake now just based on geometry alone.

Was the chicane before the last corner there yet in 2008?Gerhardsa wrote:Except if you do a 1,20.1 (Bottas just now), which is 0.2 of the lap record ? (well absolute fastest lap on the layout)
