I thought Kimi used C4 ?
If it is C5 then it is not that impressive then
Does anyone really expect anything about Sauber to be impressive?! Pipe dreaming...
haha I was thinking the same thing. They look pretty solid though out of the box, probably slightly ahead of the midfield judging from current performance.
Must be just a coincidence by the way, that front wing solution. Or just the Italian national opinion on how to design a F1 front wing with 2019 regulations...

Yup! Looks like C5 to me too. Pirelli sucks with their tire markings this year. C1 and C2, C4 and C5 are barely distinguishable. Same color, but one has stripes and the other doesn't.
No thats C4 only as per pirelli marking

Leaderboard on Autosport shows C5
They changed it. I find it amusing that even Formula1.com had him on C4.

I expect both Italian teams to go running soon to revert back to the more regular concept of the rest of the grid (aka Red Bull, Merc,etc.). This wing just doesn't make sense...

Why not? You can see that McLaren, Renault and Racing Point all made a "middleground" wing that in some ways is going down the direction Ferrari/Alfa took, it's obviously one way of resolving the issues that new rules create. We will see what direction teams start moving very soon, but I would say it is very unlikely that all those teams started to go down that route without loads of data pointing them that way.

Excited to see Robert get to grips and be on track with the Williams. Hopefully the car is not a dog like last year's. So not interested in Force India errr Race Point or whatever cause Lance Stroll and no Ocon. I hope Perez comprehensively destroys Stroll...could be a stroll in the park for him :D

Glad to see the oldest driver on the grid put the Sauber through its paces and glad that the car is no slouch. Although pre-season testing etc etc. Small voice in the back of the head is telling me this will be an even better season than last year's!

According to BBC Williams is about to go out.
If this is true that's a hell of an achievement from the team at the circuit, a car that was in a crate at 4am gets out on track 9 hours later.
For this season, my hopes are
following actually is easier with the rule changes.
williams won't be as bad as some people fear.
kubica puts in some decent drives.
mclaren will have moved up the midfield.
the top 3 will have closed up the to each other, but not cut the rest completely adrift.
lance stroll scores no points.
Not much to ask?

Have all the commentators taken an oath of just trolling? They're already deciding that Mercedes (or insert any other team) "have work to do", "two days in you can tell how it is" blah blah when Merc et al. have literally said again and again that everything is turned down and how literally every test session in past seasons has been more or less the same.
