In the 2nd picture on the right, it looks like there is a slit on the outside edge of the diffuser, has it been there before this race?
There is no way that`s a slit as it`s absolutely forbiden in the rules, it looks like a shadow.

It's a stiffener to stop the diffuser sidewalls deflecting inwards from the suction and reducing diffuser volume. Most cars have that feature now.

Hi!
Did they start using those displays on top of the side-pod in the last few races? Or is it just me noticing now on the on-board footage?
They're e-ink, right?

Only in the past few races I saw it updated on broadcasts, otherwise I wouldn't have noticed they're not just stickers.

A new low downforce FW is also expected if I'm not wrong?

It's not new - it is package brought to Silverstone.

For the person that downvoted me because "both wings used in Silverstone were old spec".

A profound misconception. This is the first low downforce rear wing option since 2022. Look closely, the lower main wing profile is completely different. The upper flap endplates are different, the upper flap itself is also a different shape.

Let me explain. This version of the wing hasn't even been driven one metre on the track. And there's not a single photo from Silverstone. So how would you know? Yes, they may have brought it there. But they haven't driven it at all and they haven't installed it on the chassis.

So what happens: let's say the team brought this version of the rear wing to Silverstone. Why? I don't understand yet. They showed it to the FIA, but didn't install it on the chassis. Good. Then, during the weekend, McLaren uses two versions of the rear wing for medium and medium-high downforce. Due to the weather, the team chooses the version for medium-high downforce for qualifying and the race. But the version for the lowest downforce wasn't even used. Why?

Any drawings out there on the differences between the old and new low DF wings?
