Well, this is hard to believe, Hamilton wanted to change and feel more free, this is the main reason to sign with Mercedes, and now he can win the WC and I am quite sure that Mercedes wil have the best car in 2015, or one of 2 best. So this is a nonsense.WaikeCU wrote:http://www.f1today.net/en/news/hamilton ... n-for-2015
F1today reports that Mclaren have announced to F1Today.net that Lewis is returning to them for 2015. Not sure if BS, but it's out there.
F1Today.net has had sources reveal to them that Hamilton visited the Woking base three weeks ago to sign for the team starting from next season. The source said: "Lewis was in the Woking factory three weeks ago. He arrived by helicopter, had a conversation about two hours with the management and then left with a big smile on his face. He signed here, I can assure you. A seat fitting has not happened yet, but that will take place in the foreseeable future."

And if this happens the most logical option for Mercedes would be Sebastian, not Alonso. And what about Alonso?
Ok, anything can happen, but Alonso to Mclaren and Vettel to Ferrari are the logic ones.
That's only because little else goes on in F1 these days. When development was allowed during the season, it gave far more to talk about with regards to where teams were at, what they would have to do to improve. I remember when they used to talk about various car improvements made leading up to a grand prix weekend. Now, it's just all rumors, all day. No substance.turbof1 wrote:Not to bash on a fellow news site, but in this case I really can't claim the opposite: f1today can very much be compared with the tabloid "The Sun". They'll turn just about every small irrelevant bit into something sensational.
This would be priceless.Richard wrote:We don't know what Mattiacci said to prompt that. For instance what if he'd said "Vettel has 4 WDC to your 2, so you'll be his number 2".
That would be mega but I doubt it.spadeflush wrote:The silly season keeps getting interesting. Vettel-Alonso at McLaren reported by ESPN. This will be awesome. Hope its true

Does anybody have a link to the 42 min video that is mentioned?spadeflush wrote:The silly season keeps getting interesting. Vettel-Alonso at McLaren hinted by ESPN. This will be awesome. Hope its true

Agreed, it makes more sense that he is heading to Ferrari but what this article implies is that nothing is final yet and it is a fight between Ferrari and McLaren to acquire Vettel. I still believe he ll end up at Ferrari.djos wrote:That would be mega but I doubt it.spadeflush wrote:The silly season keeps getting interesting. Vettel-Alonso at McLaren reported by ESPN. One of the sky reporters ask Vettel how his Italian was and he responded that it needed work but he was sure he would get plenty of practise- either he's being clever and employing diversionary tactics or he's really going to Ferrari next year.
Not to mention the mostly red helmet design for Japan, that looked incredibly Ferrari like to me.
I have tried in vain to find it.trinidefender wrote: Does anybody have a link to the 42 min video that is mentioned?
Yes, Newey will design it. But he won't contribute to in-season development.Juzh wrote:Wasn't it said Newey will still 100% design RB11?SectorOne wrote:This is a golden ticket for Mercedes,
