There must be something to it. All the talk about their genuine pace, their rake, the rumours about ride height adjustment last year, discussion about flexing nose, the fact we barely get to see any images of the RB's internals (e.g. unlike the early shots of Renaults exhaust etc) plus Newey was working on the great FW14 with its active suspension in the 90's. Forget about what's legal and what not. It's all about being smart enough to put it together without crossing the lines of the rules. There is still room to operate. For sure the aero is great and efficient on the RBs, but that Newey 'is able to visualize airflow' that allone just won't do the trick. I am sure that RB is silently happy that everybody concentrates on exhausts and again on the flexy wing by now.dren wrote:The Williams system was an active system. I thought the one I read about was some sort of hydraulicly coupled system that leveled itself out.Ferraripilot wrote:I thought all equipment such as that had been banned since Williams had suspension like that in the 90s, albeit a more complicated systemdren wrote:I read somewhere, maybe it was here, that the Red Bull has been running some sort of hydraulic suspension coupling system front to back that levels the car. Is this true?
But I am really missing a discussion about the suspension.
