Verstappen really on hards or is it Formula 1 graphics up to their usual tricks?
Live Timing had him on Softs 11 & 4 laps, Hards 8 laps

If he is that quick on hards compared to everyone else on softs then he's going to walk qualifying and the race.
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.

He set his fastest lap on Hards on his first stint.

I meant his fastest time. Abnormal to see time set on hardest compound up there.

It sure is abnormal. It's not like other drivers were running full tanks on softest compound.

Think Ferrari run lower engine modes in practise hard to tell from that 1st practise where they are in comparison to red bull but Sainz's purposing was really bad!

I noticed it, Sainz's car like a bouncy castle, Charles was pretty smooth.

Looking at the replay, it looks like Max was on the hards when he set his fastest time pretty early in the session just before the red flag. A few laps earlier he was definitely on the hards don't think he pitted in that time to change tyres. But not absolute on that either.

Assume just a setup difference between the two. But yeah it was pretty noticeable difference wasn't an issue for Charles but Sainz it was.

I think so too, tried different setups on both cars to see how low they can go.

Oh yes. My assumption was it was testing their low fuel fix, with plenty of g.

His fastest lap came early in the day on hards, later he set purple S1 on softs but aborted the lap.
