Yes just last week the RBR ans AT shenanigans were okay.
We would have to see the replays but something tells me Russel went into a closing space and hung around like he usually does.
It's not the first we see him do this.
But remember Hamilton must be blamed for something each race.
Hamilton ran him of track similar to verstappen running Hamilton off in Brazil. Seems like people are applying the same inconsistency in evaluating the incidents based on their fan bias as the stewards do.
Not a squeak now, back then the forum was being burned down. This is how it goes with fans, consistency usually is the first thing out the door.
And vice versa. Back then, lots of "the stewards didn't give a penalty so it's ok" and now it's "that should be a huge penalty!".

Of course, back in Brazil 21 some people were busy looking at non-existent rear wing issues instead of the drivers' behaviour.

You are straight out lying now. Nobody said it needs a huge penalty. In fact, I said it needs not (yes, according to the rules maybe) but for me the stewards looking at it was enough.

Don't accuse me of lying. A well-known Max fan has said that it should have had a penalty and that 5s isn't enough of a penalty.

Doubling down I see, I just read the whole thread (again) and nobody is saying “huge” penalty, or 5 seconds is not enough. There is exactly one poster who says a +5 seconds penalty was called for while the rest either thinks nothing happened, or just looking at it was enough (e.g. me and another poster).

Intra-team battles/offences need to be dealt with the same as any other offence.
+5 seconds isnt enough still.
Ergo, give a large penalty.

You're welcome.
Since your quoting my posts you might aswell of included my name.

And nobody said I was calling for a Lewis penalty there really were they.

2x WDC for Max, he did well to get second in the sprint.

It’s a shame about the safety cars but actually was pretty fun to watch. Well done Piastri.

Congrats Max on your third(?) world championship. You got it on a silver platter but I'm hoping it won't be so easy for you next year!

I find it frustrating that Mercedes fans cannot discuss their team in peace in their teams thread.... I guess we'll have to go another 6mo and see if anything around here changes.

It's quite simple to ignore or not engage with content not to ones liking.

I'll push back on this a little. You can see I'm an old-timer here, and I don't have any history of causing problems. I didn't know about the AD21 catchall thread, and apologize for not making my post there. That said... I've never seen Toto point out Red Bull and Horner's almost aggressive lack of self-awareness post AD 21. We never saw Horner wipe his forehead and say, "Phew!" with a relieved smile on his face. We just saw RB team leadership jumping around as if Max had lapped Lewis several times. I'm a shrink by trade, and always found that behavior... odd, more specifically a "reaction formation". I found it interesting to see Toto pointing this out after all these years.

Again, I apologize for being ignorant of the catchall thread, but throwing "Toto said this again" is a bit inaccurate. (If you know other places where he pointed out RB's reaction formation I would love to be proven wrong.) I assume you were referring to him discussing how the rules were broken, which is fair, but that's not everything he discussed in that post. This is also the winter break, and the Mercedes thread, so perhaps we should loosen the leash on what is allowed to be discussed here. Thanks. :)

Yeehaw.
Can't get any clearer than that!

I think Lewis going to Ferrari should protect him from decisions like this. Much of the F1 powers that be are loyal to Ferrari, and hopefully will tolerate him being the 8XWDC and undisputed G if he's in Red. Anyway. On to 2025.

Shall we expect the usual "tails" in the Ferrari thread guys?

A LH resurgence at Ferrari for his 8th title is a bazillion dollar narrative for Liberty, the press, and Ferrari, no way would they allow race day decisions that hurt his chances!

Cynicism aside, if LH is in anyway success at Ferrari I'll bet the leeches multiply tenfold.

At least the Merc fans will have a nice and quiet thread going forward!
