So does this mean Button finishes ahead of Lewis Hamilton in the drivers championship?

If so, "well done" to McLaren

Politics and public image from stripping Vettel of the title.

For me this race sums up the season beautifully - Alonso did the best he could with his car, and Vettel drove very inconsistently. He had the pace at times and made some good overtakes, but also made some clumsy moves and a couple of mistakes including that rookie first lap and overtaking Kobayashi under yellow flags. But ultimately the Red Bull was a good enough car to carry him home.

Third best driver in the best car brought it home today.

Not quite, but their relative standings have really flattered Jenson's form this season.

People said it was an orange flag.
Orange flags do not exist in F1.

fanatastic race bar 2 exceptions:
-Something fishy about VET overtake on Schu, MSC made it far too easy.
-Passing under yellows??? Regardless of situation its about safety! Come on FIA

Wow u Alonso lovers are sore losers!! I think u have to give credit where credit is due. Mark webber has had the exact same car as vettel for the last three years and he hasnt won his first wdc yet.

I didn't see this happen, but if this is true then I'm done with F1. I will never watch it again if Vettel passed under a yellow flag and does not get his just deserves.

It was not his fault, he made a clean move but lost control of the car on a wet patch. The drive through is way too hard
He made a clean move except he crashed into the car in front. :p
Same thing when a few years ago Vettel T-boned Button. remember that?
Hulk ruined the race, but at least Alonso didn't win. Too bad the evil empire of Ferrari kept their second place in constructors.

What do u mean politics? How is it better he wins it by breaking a major rule? It's more damaging if the fia allow it to happen

If being better than Webber was all you needed to do to be the best driver in the world, then there should be a lot more WDCs on the grid.

And with this race the year ends like it starts. Button on top. Alonso unhappy. Vettel is the fingerboy.

And so we are going to wait for the cars for 2013.
