This forum contains threads to discuss teams themselves. Anything not technical about the cars, including restructuring, performances etc belongs here.
Or could they just load a front wing up with a ton of load and have it flex back to generate the same downforce at high speed as now, just even more of it in the low/medium speed stuff?
If Austin is the target, it probably can be done in updated WT but only just. If they bring it in Singapore it was in development for a long time. This makes it very unlikely, as they just brought the Monza updates. It would have been too risky to develop a new wing for the new floor which wasn't validated on track. If even a tiny thing went wrong and missed correlation, those development runs would have been wasted.
Seeing how much they are pushing with upgrades this year, Austin looks like the most likely target, even if it's a Sprint weekend. Next weekend is Mexico, a track without long radius corners and very high altitude, making aero validation very risky
Yeah the current driver pairing was just perfect, and Ferrari don't need LH from a marketing POV either, the F1 team is no longer the driving force for road car sales, it's a pointless and extremely costly move both financially and in terms of team dynamics. Plus honestly I think it's a bit embarrassing for Ferrari to sign someone who won all their titles with a different team, you can't brag about those championships, they are Merc/McLaren titles, same with Seb's and RB
I stated all these points when Lewis signed yet many here are convinced it’s a great move. Like you, I don’t see it. I think Ferrari has just welcomed a trojan horse to the tune of nearly half a billion. It’s insanity.

Feeling the signing wasn’t worth it, fine.
Calling Hamilton a “trojan horse” is a step too far short of evidence.
It’s clear you do not care for Hamilton personally and think him a malicious presence, but that’s just a (rather negative) opinion.

This is driver yin yang and isn’t allowed on F1 tech so I’ll simply say we all have our likes and dislikes. It’s normal in sport and adds to the variety of it all. If we all agreed it would be quite boring, tbh. We will find out if he’s a trojan horse that will harm the flow of the team next year, and my bets are he absolutely will be.

Mate, you have to understand what the meaning of a Trojan horse is. Unless you actually think he is going to ferrari with the strict intent of ruining the team…which would be a level of crazy that must come with its own fan fiction. And I would love to read it.
He is going to ferrari because Mercedes didn’t give him what he wanted. And Ferrari want their Ronaldo to Juventus…simples.
Hopefully it ends better than Ronaldo to Juve did

This is a far more likely goal
That would seem to be the exact reason to develop flexi aero, to get the best of both worlds
“It should also be noted that Ferrari was lacking a specialist in vehicle dynamics and suspensions, they sought one of the best if not the best, Loïc Serra. Aerodynamically speaking, the team has always been interesting by showing great things.”
The green bar is the throttle application, and Leclerc is second from the top. Why do you think he uses so much throttle in the corners? Way more than Norris behind, for example.

I remember these guys back in May telling how important Newey will be for Ferrari and how much creativity and experience he will bring to Maranello; just a few months later Ferrari need to focus on smart recruitment, build step by step, one man show is not enough, etc. Ok.
