Source or it didn't happen. Brundle is convinced that Vettel overtook under yellows - so maybe he's just a fanboi too.
It doesn't need Brundle, there's video of it, you clearly see a yellow flashing light, Vettel passing Kobayashi, and then another flashing yellow light.

My source was the broadcasters on speed tv. They said it during the race.

Very well said. The crying about how Alonso deserved it more is just big bs, Alonso is already up way higher then anyone would expect over the season, no one expected him to even coem this far. On the other hand, if we are talking about 'who deserves it more'; There is a certain driver in the field who drove perfect over the season but was robbed at least 100 points by his team, he would have won the WDC by ease. Just saying, if we are going by 'the driver that deserves it the most' neither Vettel or Alonso deserve it 'the most'.

Vettel won the WDC fair and square, and that it was because he has such a great car; so what? It is a team sport and not only the driver makes the difference, but the whole team. If you want to watch a sport where the driver makes the full difference go watch ICS, GP2 or such single make series.

And until they got the blown exhaust working Webber was beating, or at least matching, Vettel. Seb is just better than Webber at extracting the potential of that single device.
If that's the case then what happen to mark this year? EBD's were not allowed this year.
Sorry but that comment just shows a lack of understanding. The exhaust is still aerodynamically blowing the outside of the diffuser, that's what the ramp is all about, and the big upgrade on the Red Bull that got Vettel back to the front of the grid was a combination of getting that device working and getting the stalling of the rear wing during qualifying working.

Politics and public image from stripping Vettel of the title.

For me this race sums up the season beautifully - Alonso did the best he could with his car, and Vettel drove very inconsistently. He had the pace at times and made some good overtakes, but also made some clumsy moves and a couple of mistakes including that rookie first lap and overtaking Kobayashi under yellow flags. But ultimately the Red Bull was a good enough car to carry him home.

Third best driver in the best car brought it home today.
How 3rd best?? Way better than over-rated Hamilton.

Hamilton was out-driven by both Hulkernberg & Button for major part of the race. A Lucky SC got him even close to a victory. Race Pace isnt everything. Even Grosjean is quick

Vettel was shunted out by Senna. He had a damaged car which was WORSE & DEFINITELY Worse than Hamilton & Alonso & those weak-nesses got exposed in the dry. Vettel was 20 & last at the end of the 1st lap for no fault of his own.

In the rain he did a brilliant job. The team screwed up, made a blunder again with a pitstop & Vettel with Damaged machinery fought his way up.

Brilliant. Brilliant Drive.

Top Class Driver.

Alonso is probably More Deserving. World Class, Absolutely as good as anyone even in inferior machinery.

But Hamilton who probably fluked his way to a win in 2008 thanks to Glock screwing it up SHOULD never ever be compared to these guys.

Congratulations to VET & Red Bull. BUT's gonna need lots of this kinda luck next season. Valiant effort from ALO. Strong end to the season for MAS. For HUL, a breakthrough win so near yet so far -- he'll learn. MSC denies Sauber and saves 5th place in WDC for Merc as a going-away present.

Question - could Vettel's pass have been under yellow-orange flags?

do you mean yellow and red striped? No, the boards were very clearly flashing yellow, they don't use the boards for red and yellow.

BTW for every Hamilton mechanical failure or Alonso being taken out there is an alternator failure of Vettel as well.

Without it who knows if the championship would have gone to this position.

Alonso is an immense driver no doubt, the Red Bull is the stronger car. But Formula1 has always been Driver + Car combo & Vettel has done his job brilliantly too.

Are you trying to say that Force India was quicker than Mclaren & quickest of all.

Funny that Hamilton could not win a WDC with the Out-Right QUICKEST car in 2007 & needed a lot of luck in 2008 to win it the last corner
