Max and Lewis in the same team? I don't think Elkan is crazy enough to sign that off.

However...Max to Ferrari is an option IF Lewis and Ferrari agree to terminate 2025 agreement.
I'm checking the odds for Lewis lining up in Mercedes next year.... :D
I don't think the Verstappens are interested in Ferrari. Unless there's a total takeover of the team similar to before Schumacher. Max has had a front tow seat to all of the strategy errors. And has some big wins and records in his pocket due to some of them.

The only team the Verstappen camp is interested in is Mercedes.
The Merc thing is just Toto's made-up show because he has an empty chair. The Verstappens would be interested in even Williams if that were dominant. If Ferrari were dominant, that would be the team the Verstappens would be interested in. Max has also talked about racing for Ferrari, just as Lewis has.
Yes of course theyd be interested if Ferrari was dominant. But as of now , that's not the case. And even when they have a fast car , they struggle to get results

Sainz to Merc for 2 years makes sense. Then he could also have a fallback plan and take the Williams seat when Kimi moves up. So he's got a defacto 4 year deal

If someone knows how to post twitter links to show up direcly like the picture above, let me know. Trying to use the media function seemingly doesnt work for me, but did before. So no idea what happend there.

Ocon to be announced in due course, most likely. Dont know what to think of it. Speed-wise, an upgrade. However, this will be the first time he would become the de facto "team leader" driver. '17-'18 he had Perez as a teammate, '20 he had Ricciardo, 21'-22' Alonso and '23-'24 Gasly, who had taken that role in Toro Rosso/Alpha Tauri prior to his move to Alpine. So this would mean that Ocon would have to step up in regards to that. Lets see if he can.

Also, HAAS is getting two new drivers, which means somewhat of a clean slate in terms of who knows what about eachothers tendencies etc. Sure, Bearman has been with them for some time, but not in "anger". So that would mark a transition period as well. And with the 2026 regs coming up quickly, I question whether it wouldnt have been better to keep Magnussen for the sake of known quantity. And I dont think he has been that bad this season. Some misfortunes and, perhaps Hulkenberg is just that good.

Change the URL. Change it from x.com to Twitter.com and it’ll work as usual

Okay, Sergio has spoken, so there's nothing to see here. Checo is safe until the end of 2026.

Most pointless quote from Sergio ever IMHO. 'Nothing is going to change' well, if thats the attitude its the wrong one to have.

Marko has spoken about it, Christian has effectively said it in a team interview with F1Tv a few weekends ago, but the driver thinks its all rosy (at least in the PR perspective)

I always find it funny how people/media talk about Antonelli at Williams as if Williams were a "Mercedes-B".

Williams has two drivers from its Academy in F2 and both of them are performing better than Antonelli (especially Colapinto). If Williams were to field a young F2 driver, the normal choice for the team would be Colapinto, not Antonelli.

James Vowels would take free engines over his own academy driver tho...

Hell yeah, that do or die lap in Q3 was epic! It’s a shame he was on his last set of new soft tires when Yuki crashed.

Both Yuki and Checo crumbling under pressure, and he himself setting a faster lap then Yuki in a high pressure situation, was all he could have hoped for. Especially now, when RB are looking for a driver who can live up to the pressure of being teammate to Verstappen without going into a slump.

I think we will see Verstappen & Ricciardo teammates RBR in Zandvoort
Perez & Yuki VCARB teammates
If Perez find again his speed he wil return to RBR in 2025 & 2026

Seems unlikely that they would take Perez back in 2025. IMO, if they drop him mid season, they’ll drop him completely, Riccardo will get his old seat back, and Lawson will get the VCARB seat.

If Daniel does a good job backing up Max, RBR would be insane to cast him aside again for Checo. Ignoring the MCL debacle, Daniel has rarely had a string of bad races that was 100% on him. His slow start this year wasn’t even as bad as a mild Checo slump.
