Hamilton engineer reported on radio that he was seeing deflation on the left rear. So that's two cars who has had to pit so far with a (possible) puncture. Hamilton told to box 30 seconds later.

any idea if this happened on the M or the H? Losing a medium would be an issue.
I just watched it on F1TV, and it actually happened on Hamilton's run on the mediums. "Puncture on the rear left".

RB heavily detuned on PU (straight-line performance) and running more fuel (high speed corner deficit). Degradation looks good for them though

Looks like Hamilton struggling slightly with degradation

Hamilton did three laps on the mediums, set his fastest lap of the session, and right after a deflation was reported on the radio

Losing a set of mediums on a sprint weekend with coldish temps and 2-stopper expected in the race is very far from ideal.

yeah, needs to try to get through SQ1 on one hot lap now, or do the sprint on softs, I guess.

Sprint on softs seems logical to me.

RB heavily detuned on PU (straight-line performance) and running more fuel (high speed corner deficit). Degradation looks good for them though

Looks like Hamilton struggling slightly with degradation

looks like sprint fuel load, but even adding 1.8s (which more or less equals the weight difference between race and sprint) keeps LEC just ahead of Verstappen, yeah.

Difference from Ver to Lec is more like 1,6 seconds with Verstappen running a longer stint. RB is usually more de-tuned in FP1 too on the engine. If the fuel is race sim for Max and Sprint sim for Charles it would put Max ahead by a comfortable margin.

High fuel has an effect that is difficult to compensate by just adding a time offset. It is where cars are most vulnerable to excessive tire wear.

yeah, obviously. But it's the best measurement we have available to put it into perspective.

They are now cleaning the track because of punctures during FP1.
