Ferrari F10

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Is it correct? I though Simon has FIA role now.

Gilles Simon is working for FIA in the engines and electronics department.

even with 2 upgrades the Renault is still slightly off Mercedes and Ferrari.

Informed opinion suggest Mercedes lead Ferrari in terms of power and consumption... ONLY JUST.
Renault consume less but also have less power.
Cosworth lag behind these.
informed opinion bla bla bla
no one, except the insiders, knows exactly where is the Renault engine in term of power. And many of them have a complete different opinion than yours

No, the hole is there so that the Ferrari drivers can fire those little black foam balls that Button uses at the cars behind, in an attempt to hit the following drivers visor strips.
The word Malboro will be attached to the little balls in reverse print so that the image can afix itself to the following drivers visor.
It is called subliminal paint balling.

Ok please can you quote the "attacks"?

Seems to me like you confuse debate for "attack" in which case you really ought to lie down and take a chill pill.
If you really think The Renault is the equal of Mercedes and Ferrari then you have a screw loose brother.
Nowhere is it known factually, but the proof is in the pudding right? And since when has anyone said Reanult had the Best engine?
Speculative? yes. But then so is your little tiff you posted...

That hole that Gazetta is speculating to be part of the F-duct. Would it not be covered by the removable side piece of the cockpit? It may be part of the latch system for that bit or it may be a duct that then couples up with a continuation through the cockpit side bit.

Barcode craziness.... It's good that Ferrari marked missed barcode area with bold white line. "This is advertising area one of our titular sponsors, but we can't put here even white-red barcode"...

Interesting. That's the old engine cover sharkfin no? It has no f-duct piping in it. Or at least it looks flat. Also, it looks like they've gone for a force india-esque mirror mounting from their flow conditioners?

So, if Renault updates its engines, it's fine, if Ferrari -- no.
I see perfect logic here!
+1
Or, to put it another way, Ferrari purposely blew those engines and gave up points in order to be allowed to make some changes . . . Tin foil hats all around.

Seriously have to ask the question why are the engines this year, which are intrinsically the same as last years, so unreliable?
What you are saying is that the engine is just unreliable installed in the F60?
So Ferrari need to change it because of this?

That really is a crap excuse. Its shite in the C29 Sauber too. And its shite for reasons that Ferrari know well. They did somthing, and instead of UNDOING it, they ask for a "reliabilty change".

Do you seriously think that its an innocent "reliability change"?

If F-duct intake is in such a place, will it be passive system? Am I right?
