Jaguar Racing has appointed Ian Pocock as director of engineering. Pocock will start on February 13 and will share the technical director's role with Jaguar's chief engineer Malcolm Oastler. The role of technical director has been vacant since Steve Nichols departed at the start of last season.
Pocock, who was previously engineering director of Pi Research, will look after all management, administrative, personnel-related, financial, budgetary, marketing and strategic aspects of the role, while Oastler will concentrate on the technical operation.
