Bridgestone vs Pirelli wet tyres

Post

Hey guys; looking at 2011 vs 2010 wet tyres; I was wondering. the Bridgestones used to have blocks that weren't quite "flat." They had these "incisions" on each block; someone said that it made it clear more water as it effectively increased the amount of leading edges (as leading edges should be able to clear more water, and provide more grip than the rest of the block). It seems to me that the Pirellis doesn't have this? Would this not affect the amount of water, as well as the speed and grip level of these tyres?
