F1 work experience?

I'm a uni student in my first year of an engineering degree at the moment, and this summer, I really want to do some work expereince related to F1 and motorsport. I've applied to a few teams in F1, GP2, FR3.5, but obviously, I don't want to apply to just them - I also want to look at independent companies who work with racing teams on the technical side of things, Oz racing are one sort of company for example, or any companies who work at quite a high standard, so I was wondering if people could please offer suggestions of companies who I could apply to? Thanks

Best way is to work lower down I think.

F1 teams are good for third year placements if you're lucky, I have a friend looking to going to Williams but you'll probably still get bucketloads of experience wherever you go?
