F1 missed a trick?

Post

Was reading an article from the european space agency ESA about an interesting piezoelectric sensor that discharges a small current when exposed to vibration and aerodynamics forces. Maybe not within the rules to use as an APU but could be incredibly usefull as aero sensors for testing.

I could picture large amounts of the cars body work covered with this material and then sprayed over so it's practicaly invisable. If the pixel size can be made small enough i could imagine this being a viable substitute to flowViz with the added benifit of the data collected being downloaded and compared to CFD data for correlation
