Well, I'm 25 and finally decided to get a driving licence as my insurance prices have started to become... reasonable... Like most people I am eagerly looking for something I dream to buy when I actually get my licence, something to add motivation and work towards.
But I was wondering if people might be able to recommend some cars as currently I'm coming up a bit short for those hidden gems. I'm looking for something along the lines of...
- Not to much to handle for a new driver (I don't want to kill myself)
- Rear wheel drive (If possible)
- £2000-5000
- 25-40MPG
- The older the better, I hate new cars.
- Basic in functionality and can be easily upgraded with a lot of options and second hand parts available.
- Something that doesn't stand out to much on insurance and theft radar i.e. (Skyline etc...)
I'm a big motorsport fan (BTCC, F1, V8) and although I know the car I get won't be pushing any boundaries it would be nice to take it to a track day and work towards improving it slowly but surely.
NOTE: I don't pretend I can drive well or know anything about cars, but its something I want to work towards.
Cars that come to mind would be something like a Silvia S15, it wouldn't be my first choice but its a car that fits within that nice middle area that I'm looking for.
Anyway, thanks for your time and listing to me ramble.
