Sealing the diffuser with brake duct fins...

A few things to consider...
Would extraction of air from the diffuser footplate area using the brake duct fins be a viable alternative to the enhanced vortex generation that was used to seal the diffuser.
If the brake ducts can be flexible, a fin could rest on the top of the footplate and prevent any air flowing from the top to the bottom of the diffuser. Furthermore, slots could be added to that fin that would extract air from the area and act against tire squirt. I'm not really clear on the rules in this area so I thought I could turn to some more knowledgeable people from this site to help me out. A further development of this idea could be using a winglet instead of that fin and extracting air from a cutout in the footplate. That can't be legal can it? It would be a bit like a DDD!

I think it would be more effective if they changed the shape of the slot in front of the rear tires to a more tetrahedral shape. The increased volume of air would create a better "shroud" effect over the tire squirt, or rather force it to interact less with the diffuser.

Yes, but larger and forming an arch shape so air can't come over the top of the fin and reach the footplate. I could even be flexible so it would maintain contact with the footplate at all times for a better seal.

those above the floor gizmos are creative, for a while i've wondered why they don't extend parts of the rear brake "duct" below the floor to help seal off the side of the diffuser. i don't know if this would be restricted bythe regs.
