Why bitch if no-one comments straight away, people have lives.

Some issues with the rear of your car, holes and overlaps.

It's been an ongoing thing Richard, which is why most people in FS don't post updates anymore. People don't give a --- and if they do all they do is post negative comments just like you did now. The 3rd image is old, which is why in the second one you don't see those faults. The bit at the back of the sidepod is a slight gap which can't really be helped.

And thanks Aussie :D Finished 7th plus 1 retirement.

then maybe you will take the hint? This in an F1 site nobody really cares about a pretend series of cars drawn by people with no understanding of them then judged by people with even less of an understanding of them.

yeah some do alot of work goes into these "pretend" cars and unless you have a team or have built a car like them please refrain from insulting the championship and these people have an excellent understanding of the formula 1 cars....... that was out of order

a lot of work goes into building real cars too let me know once you do that. The TS was moaning about how nobody was paying attention to him. I say fair game.

mate if you care so little about these cars then why are you on the thread? be constructive or find something else to whine about.

dom, a lack of feedback is exactly the reason I stopped posting my project. few people appreciate the work that goes into even a basic model. i know its annoying but complaining about it in a post will do you no good. btw nice quali result :)

This is one of the longest and most viewed threads in this section, so I don't understand why the op is complaining. Either share your pics without asking/complaining or don't at all. The views speak for themselves in most cases, and if you want to share your projects that's great but don't complain. We're a community that is about the real deal, so please understand that these projects don't share the limelight, as not even LMS does.

Anyways, let's see the updates! :)

The reason some of us (including me) may not be posting comments in reply is because we have nothing constructive to add to the updates. I have a massive amount of respect for all you guys because I can see how much work goes into all of this and it takes a special designer to get a car that works and is as good looking as everyone's here. Please continue posting

Running around begging for attention like a little puppy wont get you what you want Dom

Gap - can be helped, plus what about the hole in the floor above the diffuser?

Congrats an the weekends results, not wanting to seem like sour grapes...I just don't see how your car can do that, regardless of the over used arguement by the FS team 'its racing'.

...no understanding of the sport...
I bet people like Andy Biggs, N15k and Wesley Modderkolk already have a better understanding of the sport than you do.

Thanks mate; so people are so obnoxious that they just don't get it. Maybe @flynfrog would like to send me a link to his own thread.
a lot of work goes into building real cars too let me know once you do that. The TS was moaning about how nobody was paying attention to him. I say fair game.
Wasn't really moaning, just saying that people don't have any appreciation and that the only thing you guys do is bitch about the bad things. Apart from Mikey, and a few of the other guys; wesley, nick, alpine ect. you guys never compliment anything.

Exactly. And i'm 12 anyway; I try my best; what have you done @flynfrog?

I know. I will probably stop this thread because nobody appreciates it. I'm not asking for loads of comments but it's so demoralizing when all you get it bad non-constructive comments.

Tbf i'm not really bothered about views that much. However what i'm not going to tolerate in obnoxious people giving be critism which isn't constructive, and telling me that my car shouldn't do well.

Thanks and I completely understand that that is often the case, but sometimes it's so depressing to see crappy comments all the time. :D I might post some major updates, but not just regular pictures anymore.

I'm not asking for attention just decent comments. Gap can't be helped. Thanks. My car did it because and I know you might disagree but it's a decent car with decent drivers. Hole in diffuser. Please enlighten me.

Overall guys, here's an example. I post a picture of my livery. All I hear is that's --- Photoshop, bad picture, too many pixels ect. It's true but you could also say nice livery, good effort or something like that. You don't always have to be Critical ---.

Thanks.

can I just say, as my name was mentioned in the above quote, I am no longer affiliated with fsketch as indeed the people running it do not know how the cars work or whether an improvement has been made (they disagree with CFD data),

neither do we without CFD (which is why I use CFD now so any improvement I make I know how it affects the car),

however I made my car to learn from and see how to improve, where as I must agree in formula sketch it is guesswork for everyone involved including those who 'judge' the cars, which is why I left,

although on a separate note, I do agree that insulting peoples work (CAD modeled cars) is not the right thing to do as those who make cars spend hours of hard work on improving and designing them, :D

Re: Monster Energy Racing - MER-VW1[Model] Launched

Not picking sides here but I can fully understand where flynfrog is coming from.

First topics like these were all fun, with LegendaryM showing a real great quality car he had build. Then a few others came who also did that(for example I do), it was all great and all good until out of a sudden everyone from FSketch decided to come here and post their cars with no idea whatsoever what the hell they are actually doing. Not to mention this is F1technical, not FSketchtechnical.

The game Formula sketch is all fun and such, I joined it myself after multiple offers and enjoy the game pretty much. But some, actually a lot, take it way too far and post their cars without knowing what they are doing, they barely know how wings work, but then act like they are geniusses.

Great that they all post their cars, but do not act like you just engineered something big and act like you know everything. It is great to come here, but respect the fellow members, respect what they are doing and actually post something of quality and something with thought, not something like; 'this looks cool' or 'I did small sidepods because they are better'. And that is something that is really, really lacking with these cars.

Not trying to offend anyone, the cars look cool and guys like OP in this topic really are trying to learn something, but these are posted on a technical forum only 'to look cool', without any thought. And that is what annoys me the most, not to mention FSketch is using these forums as their personal forums, I hope this is something that gets fixed really soon when FSketch gets its own forum.

As said earlier, not trying to offend anyone, just giving my opinion on the matter.
