I have a big dilemma - which type of kart to buy. I'm tired of renting a kart, paying a lot for just ten minutes or more. I also live motorsports, follow F1 for years, watch every event on TV, read a lot about it and I felt it's time to buy a kart and start driving. Except hobby and fun I want to get even more informations about racing. So when James Allison gives an interview about Kimi's specific turning or braking at Otodrom's Degner, I want to understand him better because I can think different now when I have my kart and can do similar thing on the track. Now the question is which type of kart is for me and which one can last longer. Two types that I want are 125cc six-speed kart and 125cc automatic. Not 100cc, not 250cc or else. One of the important things is life of those two karts. Which engine can last longer? Saying that, next question is which one is better when breakdown happens (which one has less problems to repair)? Which one is cheaper to repair?
Some tell me that 125cc six-speed is better because it runs lower revs and that makes the engine last longer. Other tells me that automatic is better because it's simpler and easier to repair, cheaper etc.
I want to hear a lot from you guys, I think you from F1Technical know a lot.
Thank you all in advance and I'm looking forward to your suggestions!
