Actually what's more daunting is, were it not for Vettel's engine booboo in Korea, no one else would have ever lead a lap here.
With a giganormous straight, RBR's ddrs will prove killer in qualifying, and the cornering pace they seem to have regained (on balance of Suzuka) will see them through Sectors 2 and 3.

The fundamental pace of the car was still good (assuming perfect conditions) but marbles were getting stuck in the slots, and was stalling their front wing to cause massive understeer.
I don't know about the wetaher up there but rain can occur at this point in the year. I can see a 1-stopper being the norm here actually. The winning drivers all went supersoft-supersoft-soft last year, and this year the races have, on average, been won with 1 stop less.
